The Woods Inn

Great Stay! We came up to ride snowmobiles. Trails were right there step out the door

It was a comfy place, nice big room. My complaints were that there were dead flies everywhere, including in bathroom sink, a bunch on window sills and even on the bed. The coffee pot was dirty/not cleaned from prior use. It appeared this room hadn't been used in a while and wasn't cleaned well.

Celebrated our anniversary for the second time here. Great hosts and great ADK atmosphere. Loved the stairs, parlor, view of mts and pub. Beautiful holiday decorations. No TV but great WiFi so we enjoyed streaming movies and music. Look forward to our next anniversary here.

We had a great stay between Christmas and New Years. The staff was professional and helpful. We had a nice view of the lake from the room and the bed was comfortable and the room was big enough for two adults. The Woods Inn is a great location for visiting the Adirondacks.

We enjoyed our stay at The Woods Inn. I've always been curious about it after having seen it for years in its abandoned state before it was renovated. The setting is beautiful with chairs along the lake and a wraparound porch and a dock leading to a Gazebo in the water. It truly gives you an Adirondack experience, because it is an old hotel that had been abandoned for years and then renovated to its current state. It's not the Marriott or the Holiday Inn, and if you go in expecting that, you will be disappointed. It is a throwback to another time. The rooms are comfortable. Our bed had a painting on the headboard. No TV, and that was just fine with us. After all, we were there for the unique experience - and we were glad it wasn't the Marriott or the Holiday Inn.

This is an old time lodge with old time proportions and charm.

Fabulous old ADK start and dining. Steps to Inlet with lots of food and shopping. Staff great. Rooms ADK right on water.

We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful hotel on Fourth Lake. If you’re looking for historic rustic charm and a warm friendly atmosphere this is for you. No TV in the room is a plus as you are here to take in nature and get recentered. Owners recommended places to eat and freely gave us tips for our stay. Always asked if we needed anything. The Tavern was cozy and had great food. Even a billiards room! Highly recommended for convenience and quiet atmosphere.

Met all of our expectations. We are repeat customers and will be back again. Many options for dining,recreation and exploration. Great location to base out of to enjoy this side of the ADK.

We just returned from a trip to the Adirondack mountains to see the fall foliage. We selected The Woods Inn because it was right in Inlet, NY and we could easily walk to shops and restaurants. Also, we enjoyed the waterfront view of the lake from our room and this historic hotel which had lots of character and charm. However, there is no elevator to the 2nd and 3rd floor rooms, our room did not even have a TV or refrigerator, and we had to use the space heater provided during the cold night as the baseboard heaters didn't appear to be working. We will not be staying here again.
