The Woods Inn is Location Location for sure on 4th Lake. Under new management and they are still learning .

Great views

The formal restaurant has excellent cooking. The chef has a good hand with soups and fish. We have not been disappointed. I said “formal” to distinguish from the downstairs lounge. Dress is casual. The venison is delicious and the “Mac and cheese” is still usually on the menu. Deserts are limited and caloric.

The Woods Inn is located on a beautiful piece of property on 4th Lake in tiny Inlet, NY. There is so much to do around there--kayak, canoe, walk, etc.

The staff is outrageous good. Helpful, friendly + patient. The building is gorgeous. The food in the main restaurant is 4 star. We didnt have a chance to eat in the pub. Next time. Property is on the water. Large dock w/gazebo. Easy walk to restaurants/shops.

Hotel is right on the lake. Room are priced well for location. Not a big fan of all the stairs.

Was really a fun and historical place to stay, loved the staff, did find a strange sock under the bed, was otherwise great! Close to the village of Inlet.

We loved our stay at the woods inn, and would gladly come back for another visit!

This place is in a lovely location right by the water, and it feels charming and historic. The room was small, but we expected that. However, it could use some updating (as many other reviews have noted). There was significant noise coming from above us at night, and it’s all very creaky. We were surprised to see that the bathroom didn’t seem to have been fully cleaned—the toilet was visibly dirty, which grossed us out and made us wonder how clean the rest of the room was. The staff is kind but they are clearly understaffed. My husband waited for 10+ minutes at the front desk and couldn’t find anyone. Finally someone showed up and went to ask housekeeping about his item he’d left behind, but he just left and my husband had to go find him. The place has potential, and we certainly weren’t expecting luxury! The price was fair. With some updates this could be a great place.
