We had a lovely large family room was clean and comfy. Only thing is beds were squeaky for the kids but other than that perfect. The staff were lovely and the drinks were reasonable!

Staff are so friendly and welcoming.

Sheets were clean. Location suited us as 20min walk to shepton mallet, 5 min drive to showground.

No breakfast available. No staff available after check in. No duty staff overnight. Our 2 rooms were not close together. Rooms were dirty, had not been hoovered and surfaces very dusty. Bathroom reasonably clean but needed a deep clean eg for shower enclosure and around base of sink. Tap not attached to basin. Extremely noisy location, although this was mentioned in the description much noisier than expected as could hear other guests, boiler noise all night, toilets flushing. Shabby room, poorly repaired paint, mould marks on walls, stained headboard fabric.

Horrible, horrible experience. Not as advertised and no customer service AT ALL. No option for breakfast (although advertised as a ‘highlight’ and even brochures in room advertise food and breakfast). Reception only open 4-10pm allegedly, as most of the time no-one picked up the phone even then. No manager available to speak to at all, ever. Only bar staff who passed messages on to the ‘Boss’ and we then had to call back. Even after numerous calls and messages the ‘boss’ wouldn’t take a call. Feel very sorry for the bar staff. The ‘hotel’ is rooms above a pub by a very busy road; it’s noisy and inconvenient for any Glastonbury goers, unless driving in and out. Parking is dodgy; we were told numerous times over the phone that we absolutely must type in our car reg into an ipad at arrival ourselves . However, on arrival, the bar staff member then insisted we write it down on a piece of paper, for him to then input it in another room later. Who knows if that was ever done, we are dreading getting a fine. Room was clean enough but old and tatty. Mattresses old and uncomfortable. No fan / ventilation in the bathroom, so it got unbearably hot. Half of shower door missing. Bookings.com didn’t do anything to help us try and resolve issues, but kept on referring us back to the hotel. Who refused all our suggestions of how to make things better… it was a very stressful and unpleasant situation.

I’ve stayed here a couple of times. The first time, I got one of the nice big rooms. The second time… not so lucky—ended up in a room so small I could barely move.

I got stuck in the shower—thankfully I wasn’t alone, or I might’ve died in there. Also, it’s right next to a busy road. If the sound of cars flying past all night is going to keep you up, bring earplugs… or maybe just stay somewhere quieter.
