InTown Suites Extended Stay Albuquerque NM

We tried to live with the horrendous odor in the room, but it was impossible to do long term. I rented a room for the week of the balloon fiesta in Albuquerque to have a place to escape our balloon fiesta company. Before completing registration, they asked me to go out at view the room. It is an old room but it looked relatively clean. I smelled an odor, but chalked it up to it being an old room. We did not spend the first night in the room. Our company arrived today, so we went out and planned to spend the first night in the room. We were in there for 3 hours and the odor got progressively worse. Taking a closer look at the ceiling it appeared that black spots are painted over. We pulled the bedding back and there was a huge black spot on the mattress. I believe there is black mold in that room. We could not spend anymore time in there. The smell was unbearable after being in there for an extended time. I requested a refund and was denied. I know I signed documents, but this is beyond reasonableness. I am contacting the better business bureau and any other organization that will listen to me. We took photos of the bed and I am posting those as well

Staff rude didn’t let me rent because I wasn’t happy with the room. Don’t think I should’ve got charged

Staff were very nice. Maintenance was very responsive and quick with any issues I had. The room was much cleaner than the last in town suites I stayed in and overall made for a pleasant stay.

The price is unbeatable. Usually weekly stay places have a sketchy element but this place does a good job of making it a nice place to stay. There is a microwave. I went to the thrift store and got a coffee pot, pot, pan, cup, plate….everything I needed. There’s a dollar tree nearby that is perfect for necessaries.

It was clean, staff was great, breakfast was good and included.
