Not the beat accommodations for the money and the property was overrated. Our guide was wonderful but this haunted business was a bit laughable. Other places in the area are much better

I have always wanted to visit the Myrtles Plantation since learning about the history. Travel plans worked out that we were able to spend one night there in March. My experience was overall good but there were some small issues. I’m going to separate my expectations from actual occurrences. We arrived at check in about 3pm & were told we missed the last free guided tour for the day but we could use the audio self guided tour. We waited until 4:15 and were able to gain access to the first floor of the house (upstairs rooms were booked by guests). There was a tour guide in the house with us the whole time to open doors & answer questions, just not give a formal tour. His name was Charlie & he was very knowledgeable. I thought we would have more access to the house. The day before our reservation, staff left a message that the restaurant would be closed for a private event the night we were there. They did provide an oven baked pizza for us 😞 instead of the restaurant option. There’s not a lot of food choices in the area (Sonic, Burger King & McDonald’s). This was also a disappointment as we planned to eat in the restaurant, especially for the famous white chocolate bread pudding. We stayed in the Caretaker’s Cottage which was small but adequate for our needs. There was no TV in the cottage so we could hear traffic noises from the highway all night. Overall the property is beautiful & the staff very friendly. I would recommend visiting the Myrtles and eating there (if you had the opportunity) but staying at one of the other nearby plantations.

We love the ambiance and history of the grounds, hotel, coffee shop, restaurant and staff. Dinner and breakfast were very tasteful. The staff was friendly , kind, helpful, and knowledgeable The History tour was fun and informative. The Ghost tour was a blast even if we didn't have any paranormal experiences!

Beautiful property. Comfortable bed. Very low water pressure in shower. Onsite Restaurant 1796 was excellent with great staff, great cocktails, and excellent food. Even accommodated my wife's gluten free diet needs. Elta Coffee onsite for breakfast was a disappointment. Even though I gave notice ahead of time(twice) of my wife's Celiac disease requiring gluten free options they had no gluten free options available.

We had the most incredible stay at The Myrtles Plantation! This location exudes authentic southern charm, offering beautiful grounds and a stunning display of old-world elegance. The history and character of the property are palpable, and it truly felt like stepping back in time. The staff were exceptional — welcoming, friendly, and attentive to every detail. Our tour guide was outstanding, bringing the history of the plantation to life in a way that was both informative and engaging. The stories, the spirits, and the devotion to preserving the plantation's legacy were evident in every corner. We thoroughly appreciated the warm hospitality and the experience as a whole. The Myrtles Plantation is a place that leaves a lasting impression, and we’re already planning a return trip to soak in more of its beauty and history. Highly recommend!

The staff is wonderful. Very friendly and informative. Rainy Day did our mystery tour and she was wonderful. We also did the day tour and she was great as well. The grounds are beautiful. We stayed in one of the older rooms for two nights. Our only complaint was it did not see that our rug had been vacuumed and they did not refresh our towels or take garbage in between nights.

Very nice, clean accommodations. The restaurant was fantastic. Staff very friendly. Stayed 3 nights. Not spooky. Beautiful grounds. Very relaxing.

On 3rd party sites I thought I had booked a room inside the main house. Unfortunately I booked a room in one of their garden rooms.i was disappointed. Always book directly with the hotel so you know you're staying at the main house. Ghost tour was great. Everything else wast great.

We enjoyed our say at The Myrtles. Everything was great! We took the ghost tour inside the main house. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the property.
