"Severely disappointed"

2.0

Severely disappointed. Arrived early and was treated with hostility, prevented from resting in the lobby, and all restrooms were closed. After check-in, both my fiancée and I got food poisoning from the hotel café. Even then, the staff charged me a US$70 late check-out fee with no empathy or accountability. One of the worst hospitality experiences I have ever had.”

"Luxurious"

10.0

Really loved the location as we had an overnight layover.. but i do feel 400 for less than 7 hours is a bit crazy! I was so tired from the day tho and sitting in the airport was the last thing i wanted to do all night so in the end definitely worth it!

"Expensive & price gauging!"

2.0

Overrated. Cheap and cheesy decor and yet they have the nerve to charge $365/night includes the ridiculous taxes they charge with NO amenities at all. Not even a bottle of water. They also have the nerve to charge $8 downstairs for a large bottle of water. Needless to stay the reviews that I provide will not be good.

"Good in a pinch, but not worth it"

4.0

Service is very poor. Hospitality is extremely disjointed and lacking. $22 martinis served with a lemon wheel in a plastic wine glass. Such a beautiful building and tasteful renovation design but feels as though it isn’t fully open. Almost seems like it’s in a perpetual state of “going under.” If there were other options to stay at in JFK that were as convenient, I would’ve opted to stay elsewhere.

"Perfect for early morning flight from JFK"

10.0

We were on a 8am flight to London and the hotel is perfectly situated to get those extra minutes in bed. The rooms were as clean comfortable and in keeping with the vintage vibe. Second time we have stayed here and will be back next year!

"Great Hotel & Location"

10.0

If you are flying JetBlue in the morning then this hotel is a must even if you live in New York. There is nothing like waking up at the airport and strolling into the terminal with no stress of getting to the airport in an Uber and hoping you don't miss the flight because of traffic or the many obstacles along the way to JFK. The hotel is very modern with an " old school" charm. There is a 24 hour pannini spot with water, soda, snacks, etc. A couple of bars and two resturaunts. I really like this place. The only downside is that the whole place is carpeted with red carpet and it makes pulling your luggage to the room very difficult. They don't have a bellman.

"Do yourself a favor & find another hotel"

2.0

Please save your money & go to another hotel. The hotel room is incredibly small. No real light source in the room unless you open the blinds. There are no curtains in the room. Basically, when I say the room is small, I mean that the Queen size fills up most of the space in the room & there's just a little room to walk around. They make you leave your luggage cart downstairs. You must leave a piece of luggage on the cart so they don't return the cart to TSA. Not to mention that to get to your room, you have to walk up a lot of steep hills. So, if you have health concerns or are elderly, do yourself a favor & find another hotel. Lastly, they had the nerve to come to my room asking if they can inspect the fire alarm. They must be kidding me; not after I paid over $300 for a room. They should have already completed inspections for rooms they have rented out to customers. Just ridiculous.

"Architectural Marvel"

10.0

The TWA Hotel is spectacular--I found myself gasping at every turn. Our room was small but serviceable, and I loved the mid-century decor. I would have liked to have a closet, but otherwise, A+. We woke to neighbors having a loud argument, so the soundproofing could be better, but management addressed the issue immediately. The bed is super comfy, but could use larger/more pillows given the large size of the bed. I wish we could have stayed longer and explored every detail of the hotel.

"TWA Hotel at JFK"

8.0

Must make your reservation online so can't just walk up to counter. Very pricey but convenient location and easy to walk to since its on JFK property. The rooms are nice and clean but no coffee maker or free bottles of water in room. Food and beverages pricey too as we paid $38 for an omelet. Atmosphere is fun and nostalgic. Love seeing the old TWA uniforms!

"Expensive and far away"

6.0

I am handicapped and use a trekking pole. The walk to the hotel is quite a distance. Once you checkin the walk to your room is really far up a ramp and then up a red carpet without handrails........Plus it is a very expensive hotel for a short stay as I had.
