Excellent pools. Very comfortable rooms. Valet parking an expensive necessity.

Room was nice with comfortable bed. The bathroom was tired and the shower could benefit from a descale. The room we were in was noisy from the outdoor pool. Breakfast average

Excellent staff and service. The room was clean and the spa was excellent. Service was par excellence across the hotel. Dinner in the restaurant was great too but there are other good restaurants in the vicinity. As for parking, the hotel provides a map of areas where you can park for free in the vicinity.

Stunning hotel inside and out beautiful high ceilings in the bedrooms with chandelier very nice touch the hotel quality with no expense spared I would give this hotel and spa five stars but unfortunately was let down by the food side / restaurant unfortunately…. The evening meal was overpriced for the quality. We had an allowance of £110 between us, which was only enough to cover two courses. You had to buy the meal and extras separately, which added up quickly. Sides like chips or sweet potatoes cost £7, so your main meal would average around £40. Dessert cost £15, and if you was lucky enough to have any money left over in your allowance they kept it! The menu was limited, which is probably why they don’t advertise it online. There weren’t many options, and the prices were high. And to make matters worse, no beverages were included in your allowance. This was only mentioned once you had paid! The restaurant lacked atmosphere and was so quiet that it felt uncomfortable to talk. The breakfast was equally disappointing. The black pudding was extremely dry and hard, like a biscuit. The bacon felt like it was pre-cooked and then re-warmed very fatty. And to top it off, you were given the smallest little metal ramekin that held a spoon of beans! The cheese was dry and left out to air. Premier Inn do a better quality breakfast at a fraction of the price. They charge £25 per person.

Great staff in the cocktail bar. Popped in on Friday afternoon and was very impressed with the bar area. Wonderful to see that it is open to local people. Staff were very friendly and helpful 👍 Highly recommended 👌

We had a lovely stay at Ensana, Buxton Crescent. The room exceeded expectations & the Spa & swimming pool was perfect. The only criticism during our stay was the evening meal at the restaurant. We didn’t feel the food & service given matched the quality you would expect from a 5 star hotel. There are plenty of choices within walking distance of the hotel which we preferred.

I have just returned from an overnight stay in a junior suite at the Buxton crescent Hotel. I booked a spa package with dinner, bed and breakfast, for myself, my daughter and my 21 year old granddaughter. We had a junior suite as that was large enough for all of us to share a room. The main bed was huge, so easily accommodated my daughter and granddaughter, while I had the sofa bed, which was very comfortable. The room is beautiful, with Penhalligan toiletries, which were lovely. The bathroom had a roll top bath and walk in shower and was very large and beautifully appointed. The food was excellent, we had breakfast and dinner, with excellent service. The spa is beautiful. We used the roof top pool, which is kept lovely and warm, plus the indoor thermal pool and a 3rd spa pool. We also had use of the salt cave, which was a 25 minute time slot for the 3 of us to relax in the lovely cave that has a deep layer of salt covering the floor. We all had a facial treatment the next day, which we booked at 11am as we were checking out. We used the valet parking, which took away any stress of trying to find a parking space in a long stay car park. You can park outside to drop off and pick up luggage if you prefer to find your own parking though . All in all, it was a lovely stay and a great way to celebrate my granddaughter's 21st birthday. I am definitely planning a return visit.

The spa is awesome, including 3 different pools/sauna's and steam rooms. The ambience is so relaxing ... exactly what we wanted BUT it comes at an high price. The attic rooms are the best value but beware, the bed is only a small double.

Spa is excellent although it was super busy. The check-in wasn’t great. There was a queue of people almost out the door and the second check-in member of staff arrived at her desk 10 mins after check-in began. She then faffed about for a few minutes with her file and computer as the queue grew. It’s not a great first impression.
