Hotel Panamera

Amazing beach club and the food was good. We also loved the location.

The room was extremely small and the bed was uncomfortable. We had a thin blanket and sheets so was cold most of the time. Since none of the windows open and there was no ventilation, the room was very stuffy. It was very basic. The room was also extremely noisy from the rooftop deck and outside traffic.

We just returned from a five-day stay at Hotel Panamera and we were very pleased with our experience. The property is located toward the southern part of the beach hotel zone, which is generally more upscale and calm. I believe that the ownership group for Panamera also owns the very nice hotels just south (La Valise, Radhoo, etc.). These properties and the nearby Nomad largly cater to adults/couples and families with older/grown children. It's about a 10 min walk (north) to additional high-end restaurants like ARKA. Our breakfast was included (except for drinks) and we tried much of the menu. It was all great. The beach service was also good. The dinner menu was a bit limited but also fine. The sunset roof is an absolute must when open and good weather. They had a chill DJ on the roof and near the beach on Thursday and Friday during our stay. There was a Christmas Eve dinner that was offered during our stay, but we already had reservations elsewhere. The rooms are minimal but large with a nice shower. Our room didn't have a formal door between the bathroom and bedroom -- the toilet and shower were out of sight, however. We received daily room cleaning that happened around 3 pm. As other folks have mentioned, servers David and Juan were exceptionally warm and attentive. The hotel manager (Leo?) was working very hard at all hours, but was always welcoming and kind. Fellow guests during our visit were from Canada, France, UK, and the US (Los Angeles). In general, lots of great people watching from the beach area or by taking long beach walks in the morning or afternoon. Btw, the staff was always helpful with beach chairs and umbrellas, etc. All in all, we give Panamera high marks for a Christmas get-away spot. Thanks!

There’s an organized theft taking place in this hotel. Previous reviews as of a few months and even years ago confirm theft incidents. In the middle of our stay, cash disappeared from closed, zipped handbag left inside our room. At that time, we considered a possibility that it could have slipped at some point outside, and unfortunately didn’t pay enough attention to this. On the last day right before checkout, expensive watches were stolen from inside a closed backpack stored in the room, while we were out for breakfast. These items weren’t left in plain sight, they were deliberately stored and secured inside our bags kept in the room. When we reported this, management staff attempted to sell a story that they have a “reliable security procedure” with two people (housekeeping and a security guard) entering the room for cleaning. However, cameras they have on the floor don’t cover room entrance areas, so there’re no recordings to check who actually enter the room. In reality, an increased number of people have access to room keys and enter without any surveillance, while cameras conveniently don’t have any footage. Personnel involved in this monitor when guests leave the room, enter it and search through bags and luggage for valuables. On several occasions, we noticed that things were in different spots compared to how we left them, although we kept “do not disturb” sign on the door. We’ve stayed in other hotels in Tulum, and this is by far the worst experience, with 0 security. There is effectively no protection for guests personal belongings stored in the room. STAY AWAY

Struttura dallo stile minimal e curato, con piscina e camere pulite. Il cibo è buono e lo staff si è dimostrato sempre cortese e disponibile. Il rooftop bar e la spiaggia sono davvero splendidi e rappresentano uno dei punti di forza del soggiorno.

Le camere hanno uno stile minimal, sicuramente d’impatto dal punto di vista estetico, ma il design non è supportato da una funzionalità adeguata. In particolare, l’assenza di una porta tra bagno e camera è stata per me un grande disagio, anche perché non è presente alcuna ventola per l’aerazione: dopo la doccia si creano umidità e cattivi odori difficili da smaltire. Le finestre ci sono, ma non possono essere aperte perché sigillate; l’unica possibilità di arieggiare è lasciare la porta aperta. All’arrivo in camera mancava il phon, che abbiamo dovuto richiedere. Non è presente la TV, i comodini sono estremamente piccoli e non ci sono né un tavolo né una sedia, ma solo un divano. Anche l’armadio e lo spazio per appoggiare le valigie risultano davvero ridotti. Mancano inoltre il frigorifero e, in bagno, non c’è spazio sufficiente per sistemare una trousse o gli oggetti personali. Infine, durante il soggiorno sono stato male e avevo necessità di seguire una dieta leggera. Ho chiesto allo staff se fosse possibile avere un semplice riso in bianco o delle patate lesse, ma non mi è stata offerta alcuna alternativa dedicata. Sono stato quindi costretto a ordinare tramite Uber Eats. Infine, anche l’offerta della colazione risulta limitata e poco adatta a chi è abituato a una colazione più tradizionale, con croissant o brioches, pane e Nutella, torte o dolci in generale

What an amazing spot! We stayed in one of the Tuup beachfront cabanas and were made to feel so welcome by the Panamera staff! From our lovely welcome drink, assistance with our luggage, diligent room service every day, personalized service in the restaurant and on the beach, we just can’t say enough about the Panamera team! Special shout out to Juan, Alberto and Armando who remembered our names and preferences, and offered extra special service! Can’t wait to come back!

I have just returned from a wonderful 9 day stay at this gem of a hotel with my two grown up daughters. So many highlights. The wonderful morning yoga classes (after a 25 year break, I am now inspired to restart yoga thanks to Karen!), super-kind and helpful Angie and Sassy on the front desk who couldn't do enough for us, all the serving staff in the restaurants (especially Armando and Alberto) and pool staff. We loved the beach club, the sunset roof terrace and the chilled out, friendly vibe. We are now back in cold and rainy London but we are still with you in spirit and listening to the morning yoga soundtrack and some of the amazing music played by the DJs to remind us of our stay. We would love to come back again sometime soon!

Perfect Honeymoon Stay Paramera in Tulum was absolutely magical. We spent part of our honeymoon here, and everything was perfect, beautiful, peaceful, and romantic. Thank you to Natalia, Celia, Juan, Miguel, and Erik, and to the entire team, for making our stay so special. We can’t wait to return!

We were walking along the beach when Erick came out and invited us in. It was truly one of the most pleasant experiences and exactly what we were looking for in Tulum. We're already planning to return and stay there, but if Erick is there, we will. Thank you for everything, Erick, you're the best!
