Location, the cleaning person

The shower was full of hair, the sheets were broken, there was nothing in the kitchen to make coffee or tea. The curtain rack would fall down when we moved the curtain. I can see that not everything can be prefect, but the manager/owner was so rude. He accused me of fraud since I forgot to change the reservation. I paid the extra money he still accused me of fraud. We left and looked for another place. We had stayed there there before and at that time it was very nice.

Very difficult to check in and no hammocks

staff helpful, responded when we needed something. location is very good, a lot of places around in walking distance. room is spacious and quiet.

to have soap, shampoo and towels right away without asking them specifically every time you need something, a bit inconvenient. facilities could use a bit of maintenance.

We would like to clarify the following points objectively: "Security issues": If there was any security issue, it was caused by your own actions, as you left without paying for your outstanding balance on bottled water. This behavior was documented and reported to Booking in a private review. Private terrace and behavior towards other guests: The terrace is part of the suite but is available for rent as an optional service for $7 USD per day for those who wish to use it. During your stay, other guests rented it, and you reacted aggressively and disrespectfully toward them. No one was "watching" you; other guests were simply enjoying a service they had legitimately booked. Routine fumigation: This is a mandatory process per local regulations and is carried out by certified professionals. It is scheduled on Sundays at midday because that is when most guests have checked out or are outside exploring the town, leaving the hotel practically empty. Out of eight suites, you were the only guest who not only made a scene but also refused to leave your room, complicating a process that is done for the well-being of all guests. You asked about the chemicals used, but the staff member assisting you is not a chemistry expert, as the fumigation is handled by an external professional service. Behavior towards staff: You were not only rude to our team but also to the guests who had legitimately rented the terrace.

I confirmed the night before I would arrive at 2pm. I confirmed when I left Tuxtla the next morning. When I arrived no one was there. When I finally reached someone I was dealing with 2 people and it still took over an hour to check in. I was told I needed to add them to Whatsapp and send them a copy of my passport. I received over 20 messages with instructions on how to get in and trying to upsell me the "terrace" rental. The process of self check in was a huge pain. The tv in my room did not work but I think that was probably dead batteries in the remote. I would have overlooked these issues but on Sunday morning, with less then an hours notice I was asked to vacate my suite for 3 hours. She told me exterminators were coming for routine fumigation and for safety reasons everyone needed to leave. I asked what chemicals they were using but she did not know and told me I needed to be out between 10am and 1pm. I told her I did not want chemicals sprayed in my suite. She was clearly upset but said they would not spray my suite but I still needed to leave. Before I left she was on the "terrace". I went to talk to her about a security issue but she was very rude and ignored me. The patio door on the suite does not lock. Anyone renting the lower suite or one of the many rooftops connected to the hotel could access my suite. If anyone is using the terrace there is no privacy in the suite. They were too cheap to buy 1 more curtain so having a shower you are completely exposed, especially if someone is on the terrace. I came back a little before 3pm after the fumigation and the access door to my suite was locked from the inside so I could not get into my suite. When I was able to get back in I noticed someone had been in my suite so I asked if it was fumigated. She told me it was not fumigated and no one went into my suite. She then said maybe someone went in my suite to do an "inspection". Security issues, rude and unprofessional host.
