The Brenton Hotel

Highly recommend

First time in Newport, stayed for a weekend. Hotel is in a fantastic location, walkable to most of the sites. Staff was amazingly friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean, spacious and updated. Bar downstairs is a fantastic addition. Food looked good, but only had drinks. Rooftop bar for nicer weather. Free ice cream. Can’t ask for much more.

The rooms are well-designed and the hotel has very friendly staff. I will be visiting again.

Beautiful property and convenient location

I've stayed in a lot of hotels around the world over the years and this was my #1 favorite. Excellent experience overall. We'll stay there again. Thank you to the wonderful staff.

We had the most fabulous stay at The Brenton in March 2025 for Spring Break. It was cold(50’s), but wonderful! It was four adults and we ate, shopped and did all the mansion tours. The hotel staff really went above and beyond. The maids and valet did a an amazing job as well. Anything we asked for, we were given right away. Johnny, Dean and another wonderful valet (his name escapes me) drove us around the area to local places and never complained. We ubered to and from the mansions but they would have taken us if we had asked. There was a $2 trolley that could take you around, but came every 90 minutes and it was raining one day, so we opted for Uber. The hotel was located on the water with a view of lots of boats. We didn’t get to see the hotel bar on the rooftop because it opens later in spring, but we heard it’s amazing. Get a water view if you can for your room. We didn’t and we wished we had. The hotel had a great breakfast that we had one day. Highly recommend the avocado toast! Finally, little freebies like free drink mixers, cookies during turndown service and Bulgari soaps were amazing!

Location is magnificent. Ample parking with great welcoming valet service. Front desk was knowledgeable and provided us with our keys immediately. Our room is very well designed and appointed with all necessities.

A lovely hotel… will definitely stay here again
