The Brenton Hotel

Beautiful hotel, lovely and comfortable guest rooms. We liked the studio suite type layout of the room that had a nice L-shaped sofa with plenty of space for 2 people to relax. Loved the little perks like the “pantry” on each floor with complimentary sparkling water and ice cream, complimentary juice and soda from minibar. Friendly staff at every turn, from valet to front desk to concierge who had helpful local info to housekeeping. Location is great right on the water, it’s a little separated from the main concentration of hotels and inns. The only thing to be aware of here is that the toilet and shower areas have frosted glass doors that don’t make those spaces completely private. If you’re a couple that regularly shares time in the bathroom together, this probably won’t be a problem—but it might be less comfortable if you want complete privacy in the bathroom.

Beautiful property, we've stayed here twice and both times were such a treat. We were staying for a mini-moon after having just got married two days prior, and not more than 5 minutes after checking in, the staff dropped by with a bottle of champagne. Love the Brenton! So clean, so modern, and staff is awesome.

Wonderful stay all around. Staff is very friendly and attentive especially valet. Extremely convenient location.

Clean, quiet, and beautiful view

Fantastic hotel and great location! On the harbor and easy walking distance to many restaurants and shopping, Thames Street. Rooms and hotel are decorated towards nautical with a modern slant (neither overdone). Rooms are spacious and our view of the harbor was great. Each floor has a pantry with ice, water (sparkling or flat), and free ice cream. Fabulous bar area with a view of the harbor and amazing craft cocktails. Food was also delicious and the warmest/hottest room service I’ve ever had anywhere! If we ever come back to Newport we will definitely stay at The Brenton!

The staff was friendly and made us feel at home. The hotel was clean and the room decor was up to date. Definitely will stay there again 😊

We had an exceptional stay at the Brenton, and could not recommend it more highly. The staff went above and beyond (special shout out to Mackenize and Jonny!), and made us feel welcome and comfortable. They had great recommendations, and helped with every question and issue that came up. The hotel is in a perfect location, right on the harbor and within a short walk of downtown Newport. The hotel itself is beautiful, feels modern but also true to its Newport location. We had a gorgeous, large room, and found the bed super comfortable. We loved the food, and the wait/bar staff was wonderful as well. We especially enjoyed the complimentary ice cream and seltzer! We stayed at the Brenton to mark a special occasion and they really made our celebration memorable. Huge thank you to the Brenton team! We hope to be back again one day.
