My favorite place to stay in Austin, Texas. Little boutique hotel, rennovated from an old motor inWonderful, warm, and friendly staff, cool location on South Congress, quiet yet lively, beautiful patio dining, little pool, and green meandering grounds, fabulous modern rooms, little poems posted over the sink, great robes (colorful, stripey), great stuff to walk to (Allen's Boots, interesting Tex Mex, clothing stores, and more) or run a little farther for a jog around Town Lake (aka, now Lady Bird). From someone who lived in Austin for 20 years, this is a cool spot.

We really enjoyed Hotel San Jose. The property is very retro with a cool vibe. It feels very secluded but is right in the middle of South Congress. There are tons of restaurants and shops with walking distance. There was plenty of on site parking without the valet hassle. We had a pool day and there was a bar service there. The let us bring our dog and even had a bed and food and water bowls waiting in the room for her! Would love to stay again!

"A truly special place and staff"

Love the grounds and the staff. Have stayed at Hotel San Jose a number of times and it is one of my favorite experiences every time. A little oasis of lush tranquility in the heart of everything. The staff is always amazing, warm and friendly. The margs at the bar are great and Joe's is the perfect coffee amenity.
