Hotel Arcata

Close access to the downtown square with shops and restaurants. Parking worked well with the parking pass. Shower was amazing. Room was very clean.

Very strong musty smell especially in the halls. Ice machine was out of order. No mini fridge in room.

Vintage vibes in the middle of everything.

A small fridge and hairdryer would be nice and easy to accomplish for guests.

Such an amazing historic property. You truly feel transported back in time once you enter.

The “breakfast” was sad. A couple of bagels, a tired waffle machine (think holiday express) and a few yogurts in the fridge. Not that I was expecting a 4-star service, but something a bit fresher and a few more options would be nice.

I liked that we were right on the square and could walk to everything. I also liked our room with the view of the square.

Maybe breakfast. Breakfast was not bad, but it was more of help yourself breakfast, which is fine, but I felt that breakfast included meant an actual real breakfast versus what I believe is called continental breakfast when you help yourself.

It was historic. Location was great. The bathroom was interesting with the old fashioned claw foot tub with a circular shower curtain and brass fixtures.

Because it was historic, it meant that the room smelled very strong of old house/wood. The electrical outlet situation wasn't great and there was not a mini fridge or microwave in the room. the bathroom was interesting with a clawfoot tub but was difficult to get in and out of. The "breakfast" was very disappointing.

Nice staff. They were helpful with parking information. The room was clean and had shampoo, conditioner, and lotion bottles. Great ambiance and art pieces. It's a cute area too.

the location is very loud. we stayed on the second floor and could hear basically everything that happened outside including people rummaging through the dumpsters/ recycling. Nothing that hotel staff could handle. It's a cute hotel but deff bring ear plugs.
