Hotel Arcata

The location is perfect, proximity to good food is unbeatable. The hotel is beautiful and the view of the square was really cool.

The bed. That was the ONLY complaint but it’s a big one because we desperately needed that good night sleep before another long road trip. The mattress was so squeaky and you could feel every single spring . Maybe other rooms have better beds but 302 needs to be replaced.

Good room good location

Hair dryer plug was broken and unusable. Went to call housekeeping for new one and phone was dead because phone cable was cracked and could not be plugged in. This is not the standard of a hotel if this calibre

Nice old hotel right on the town square. Street parking. Big room, high ceiling. Claw foot tub.

Classic

This hotel is in the perfect location! We had a great view of the square and it was super easy to get everywhere. Parking was easy ( because of the parking pass).

Honestly our room had an odor. I believe pets are allowed and it smelled like wet dog in our room. Also I really wish there was a fridge in the room.

The location is great -- walk to many attractive shops and restaurants, plus the University is not far. It's a charming old-style hotel. We've stayed here many times over the past couple of decades.
