La Placita Inn

Spent a weekend at La placita last month and enjoyed every second of it. The property is located right by the beach and has multiple dining options along with small convenience stores on site. Also the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable of the island, Planning a second visit soon.

I booked 4 rooms for our group through Expedia. The water is amazing, the beach is perfect, the people are fantastic. My only complaint is 50% of the rooms we had didn’t have any hot water in the showers. You don’t spend that much on a room and not have hot water. We were pretty disappointed about that. When we let management know, we got the “I’m so sorry.” crap. When you drop the ball with no hot water, you make it up to the guests. That’s the way to do business. We got nothing. Nothing was offered for the trouble at all. In addition to not having any hot water, the facility had some kind of entertainment going on and music blared until 9:45 p.m. That’s not what I wanted to deal with after traveling all day. A little peace and quiet would have nice. Instead, we had to endure hours of annoying music with bass, so loud, that it moved the floors. It was extremely annoying. The bed was comfy and the room was nice and cold but the music was horrible.

Love the location, as so much is nearby. Beach, pool, dining. And the staff is top notch!! Liked it so much this was the second year we stayed there. Might even be a 3peat:) Water pressure was a little under than last year, but that wouldn't keep us from going back. I just cannot say enough good things about this place!! Well done everybody!!

What do we like about this property? For us it's perfect. The same friendly staff have been there year after year with us and know us well. Before I even need to ask, based upon previous stays, the staff have already arranged our transportation for us. They make attempts to put us in the same suites we've stayed in so it feels like we are coming home to the island. This is a boutique hotel with not many rooms. This makes it so we end up spending time with the other guests while lying around the plaza and we now have many friends we see each year at the same time. This hotel has an arrangement with the resort next door to allow guests access to many swimming pools and beach chairs with service. We feel like we are visiting our second home, a condominium on the beach, when we stay at the La Placita.

La Placita was a great place to stay. They have shopping, places to eat and everything is walking distance. Beach is walking distance and pool is shared by another hotel, which was very clean and accommodating. The actual.hotel has only 14 rooms, which are very nice. Hotel, was clean and customer service was great, friendly staff,breakfast included. Will stay in this hotel.amd will recommend to family and friends. Overall, place is beautiful!

A wonderful hidden jewel in Roatan. Perfect for anybody to visit the island

The front desk were so helpful: getting towels, renting snorkel equipment, arranging rides to restaurants, doing laundry. The breakfast was great. We were there 4 mornings and each morning we ate a different dish and they were all delicious.

We enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was wonderful. The staff was super friendly! The area was very walkable, close to the beach and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again!!!

This is a great hotel. It's not directly on the beach so it's less expensive but has easy beach access and dedicated beach chairs. It is clean, nicely decorated and comfortable. Kimberly, at the front desk, is absolutely WONDERFUL! The day manager was also pleasant and helpful when I had questions. I would give this hotel 5 stars for service were it not for the fact that Jesse needs to be retrained. He is always on his phone and is dismissive. The only other thing I don't love is that the nightly entertainment on the weekends is so loud. The singers and bands are good, just too loud to be enjoyable.

This is my second time staying at La Placita and I will continue to return. A low-key, comfortable inn with an ideal location, Lenora & Kimberly and other staff are what make it over the top for me. I leave feeling like family.
