Gardner Farm Inn

John is a very cordial host and he made us feel like old friends upon our arrival. The building is an old farmhouse that is updated just enough to give it modern touches but also keep it's historic character while the decor is whimsical and creative in it's hodge podge way.

John was a great host with a great home. The room we stayed in was exactly like the picture and was extremely clean. John provided recommendations for local restaurants and filled us in on the history of the home and town. He cooked a delicious breakfast and was very hospitable. We would definitely stay again!

John, the host of the Inn, was in contact with us earlier in the day, to provide helpful information prior to our arrival. The property, inside and out, is very eclectic in its furnishings and decor. It was quite interesting seeing what was displayed throughout this spacious home! Many of the displayed items brought back memories :) which made for enjoyable conversation with the John along with the other guests. The May West room was spacious, clean, comfy, quiet and warm ; as was the bathroom(full tub and shower!) Breakfast was adequate and delicious. John made sure the coffee pot was ready to go, so we were able to have fresh brewed coffee when we went downstairs before eating breakfast. The Inns' location is easy to find, has a parking lot (look for the classic cars) and in a few minutes you can drive into Troy . There is a charming downtown area with plenty of interesting architecture along with bars, restaurants, bookstores and the like. And, like any city, be aware of your surroundings as you wander. A great view and wonderful dining experience can be had at Sea Smoke. Pricey ? Yes, but worth it ;)

John was a most gracious host. The house is filled with treasures and good vibes. Clean, cozy, and authentic. Truly a great find!

I selected this b&b for the location, but everything about it exceeded my expectations. It was charming, clean, comfortable and just had that extra something that makes a stay memorable. Maybe it was the dogs, the gardens, or the delicious breakfast. Everything was absolutely perfect.

John is a fantastic host and it immediately felt like home. He‘s decorated the house with so much love and attention to detail. And he‘s also a great chef! We‘d gladly stay with him again.
