Gardner Farm Inn

Meticulously maintained B&B, with great attention to detail. Comfortable and pleasant. Personable host. We'll be back.

We stayed for just one night. The Inn is located about a mile from downtown and its restaurants. John, the innkeeper, was helpful and gracious, and his two greyhounds quite polite! John was also good about communicating regarding food allergies / preferences and arrival time. Our first floor suite was nicely renovated, spacious and well cared for. It's a very old house, which looks to be a lot to keep up with! While it didn't bother us, the Inn sits near a road with quite a bit of traffic, so if traffic noise is an issue, don't choose here. There's a lovely outdoor patio with flowers, but since we had a drizzly morning, we had breakfast in the kitchen and watched and chatted with John as he prepared it. Breakfast was nice, and we were off! We would stay here again.

This is a darling place. I would definitely stay here again!

A comfortable Bed and Breakfast for a visit to Troy. John is an affable host and great breakfast cook.

We had the most delightful stay at the Gardner Farm Inn. John could not have been nicer and accommodating. Such an amazing inn keeper and the inn itself was just perfect. We could not have been happier!

Host was most welcoming. Amazing historic property filled with antiques and unique collections. Very large, well appointed bedroom and bath. Delicious breakfast fare.

The Gardner Farm Inn is a lovely, characterful property. The stay was made perfect by John's welcoming and friendly manner. And his two charming greyhounds, Margaret and Nigel. The large house is packed with interesting features and objects. The bedrooms are lovingly decorated and there are plenty of common areas - a library, sitting rooms - to enjoy and explore. We were made to feel at home, for example we were able to make ourselves tea in the kitchen. John is a great cook and made us a gourmet breakfast which we ate sitting in the sunshine among the flowers in the garden. It really was a perfect stay.

We stayed for 2 nights and would highly recommend it! John was so nice and welcoming! He made a delicious breakfast both mornings.

It was magical! The host was so welcoming and kind without being at all overbearing. I slept very well, got a some good work done (not easy in every hotel situation), and had what I believe to be the BEST breakfast I've ever had at a hotel/B&B. 100% *will* stay here again!

The Gardner Farm Inn is a beautiful eighteenth-nineteenth-century house that has been lovingly adapted to use as a B & B. The host was very welcoming and helpful, and he prepared a full breakfast every morning. A flower-bedecked patio was available for the meal, as well as an indoor breakfast bar. Inside the house was filled with interesting collectibles and artwork, and I could have spent the entire time exploring, if I hadn't come to town for a high school reunion. Another time I hope to take advantage of the little library/sitting room next to my room and to relax in the garden.
