Stay Express Inn Hamilton

This place was the worst we have been in and a total rip off at $175 for one night. Conditions were dirty and extremly run down. No coffee maker. Mattresses shot. Should be delisted by all booking sites.

Despite the dated facade/exterior, which needs some work, the rooms had been completely remodeled. Furniture, carpet, TV, fridge, amenities were all brand new. AC worked great. Mike, who runs the front desk was extremely helpful. For the budget-minded, I’d recommend it.

Property was in transition between owners. Could have been "quaint" if attention to details was demonstrated. Rate was perhaps lowest in town, but it showed, as it was my wife felt uncomfortable. Items of concern in a first-floor room: secondary locking system missing (chain & slider), door jamb appeared to be repaired with wood putty, window air conditioner functioning, but noisy, rug was stained, empty soda bottle found under the bed, cable controller did not operate TV, no suitcase stand, no cleaning service provided but towels changed when requested.

SO much improved since our last stay! New AC and new lighting. Clean. Friendly manager.

I rented 2 rooms for 2 nights. The first morning neither room had hot water. I informed the the front desk and they told me maintenance would fix that day. Woke up the next morning and did not have hot water for shower again. Neither room. The first day both rooms only had 1/4 roll of toilet tissue and one room did have Kleenex in the dispenser. I had to go find the cleaning crew to ask for some. Out the side door of the complex there was old couches and shelving units and stacks of garbage all over. The garbage cans in the complex were over full and spilling onto the ground. Filthy. I can not believe Travelocity books rooms at this motel

Manager was the only person working. Owner apparently is remote and not helpful.

Tried to call all evening to tell we would be there at 7pm...no answer. got there at 7pm room was still dirty, no one at the desk had to go find her, she said she had no help and had lots of health problems, which I felt bad for her but she should not be working at a business like this...we looked in open door to rooms they looked dirty and hot....
