Stay Express Inn Hamilton

Had issues with room cards each night, desk staff was rude about it, cleaning took towels but didnt replenish the towels, room seemed to be run down.

This was a run down building and appeared to be very unsafe. The front desk lady was very nice. We didnt actually stay as it scared us to be there.

This was the third time I have stayed at this motel. My previous stays were not good but I had heard that they were now under new management and thought I'd give it one more try. I am so glad I did!! They are a work in progress but so so much better. The room was clean and quiet, they are pet friendly, and the staff is amazing! They know what customer service means!! Kudos Motel 6, I will be back

The staff are very nice and my dog stays free! They have a new manager who is extremely nice. It was very peaceful and they have great rates! Hot coffee at 6am, they were happy to accommodate to my needs! I definitely recommend staying here!

While the staff was friendly enough, this place was old many, many years ago. Lots of missing trim and the room appeared to have been in a constant state of repair for quite some time. If all you need is a place to crash, it is sufficient. I would stay elsewhere if possible, if spending multiple days in the room. One does not get very much for the price.

Absolutely filthy! Carpet hadn't been vacuumed in forever, bathroom tub was black with dirt, and floor in the bathroom..well..I'll spare you the disgusting facts. Because it was the only room available, I went to the store and purchased cleaning supplies and scrubbed the room. I have never, ever, been in more disgusting place!

We were coming to this area to hunt big game and arrived sooner than expected. Booked this place in a last minute decision. Filthy inside and out. Asked for washcloth and was told they don’t have them. Attendant was hardly ever in the office. Overall opinion is, sleep in your car or go to the next town. This place should be condemned!!!

So my mother in law reserved us a room here as most of the other hotels were full. We were staying in Hamilton for a wedding. So she had 2 rooms reserved. So she arrived around 2 pm (check in isn’t until 3). She checked to see if we could get in....she was told the rooms won’t be ready until 3 ok fine no big deal.... Well here’s where the fun begins. So my wife and I arrive a little after 3, well the wedding is at 4, so we need to change as we just drove roughly 3 to 4 hours and have 2 small kids. We were told our room wouldn’t be ready for atleast another 30 minutes. So now I’m getting frustrated. Not to mention the stench the office, it smelled like someone had possibly died in there and they had not discovered the body. So after we go back and forth with the check in person. They get us two rooms. Fine what ever we can change and move on. Also a odd thing, because we have kids we need to sign a waiver..... and they need a photo copy of our ID sounds super strange, but what ever. The fact that the check in clerk was super unfriendly didn’t help much either. I don’t travel a whole lot but I’ve never had to sign a waiver for my kids at a hotel. We walk into our roo, the doors open before we got there, there’s no sheets on the bed the floor is wood or fake wood, it was filthy, I don’t think it had been cleaned for atleast the last month. There is literally nothing in the room, no soap, towels, nothing. The bathroom was a mess. It also looked like they had started to remodel the room and never finished there was no trim and different color paint where they had painted over the last color and poorly painted it. This room also smelled similar to the lobby. We were then told this room wasn’t ready must have been a mix up .... They would have this room ready when we came back from the wedding, at this point I’m getting pretty upset. So we finish changing in the room that my mother in law was staying in. Well their room was made up, but still filthy, black dirty foot prints in the tub, when they flushed the toilet the handle fell off, the floors didn't appear to have been vacumed( this room had carpet). So my mother in law called the lady that had checked us in and she basically said we couldn’t get a refund. ( we’ve been there for probably 10 minutes at this point) Any way we still left. Oh yea and As my sister in law was leaving the house keeper told her “sorry we didn’t have your room cleaned in time Princess”. Look I understand things happen and I don’t expect much from a $100 hotel but this place is a dump, that isn’t clean, and the staff is rude and basically useless. Needless to stay we found a nice little, older motel a few blocks away. Much cleaner and the staff was much more friendly. Also this other motel was cheaper, go figure. I wouldn’t stay at the motel 6 in Hamilton if they paid me too, I doubt I’ll ever stay in motel 6 again.

For a non smoking room it sure smelled like a century old smoking room, however at least the sheets didn’t smell like smoke! The first photo is of the bathroom fan cover showing the amount of dust on the filter. The second is of the air conditioner which has a light on to change the filter, in 3 days that was never done! The 3 & 4th photos are of the bed after house-keeping came, they didn’t so much as rearrange the pillows! Nor in 3 nights did we get clean sheets! We asked for glasses we were told they would be there the next day and they weren’t. Had to get an ice bucket from the office. Bathmat was taken to be cleaned but not replaced and the tub was filthy! Toilet was low and used a lot of water! The curtains too dirty to show. Believe it or not I am usually one to let it go as it relates to a bad night or two but at $100/night I was appalled at this room!

Since we had stayed here several years ago and had a good experience we decided to stay again. Unfortunately we made a poor choice. There was a dirty towel hanging over the shower head in our room. The room had not been cleaned very well, dusty and water rings on the bedside table. Carpet had a urine smell. Our tv would blink on and off. No refrigerator or coffee maker in room. A simple continental breakfast would have been nice. There were internet problems but we were told they were being “worked on”. Air conditioner didn’t cool very well. We definitely will not stay here again.
