Kind staff and helpful. Great location

Stayed here numerous times. On the seafront in Douglas. Ideally located for shops, restaurants, buses, trams, trains. Comfortable rooms and a good breakfast

A great find right on the promenade and just a few steps from the centre of town. Recently renovated our room offered all the facilities which showed that owners appreciate quality. The breakfast was excellent especially the butcher sausages!! The owners really do have their finger on the pulse here and it shows!

Staff good but bedroom no wardrobe. Extractor fan outside bedroom comes on at 6am !! Wouldn’t stay at Ellen Vannin in the future. Six flights of stairs to get to bedroom.

Found this Hotel on Booking.com as it was close to the masjid which I only went to once but that's a different story. Easy to book and select what we wanted including if required a breakfast. Reception was easy to find and is manned until quite late. There are electronic card locks for the rooms and you get a couple of cards Really pleased with the quality of the bedroom, clean, tidy and had tea and coffee. Similarly with the bathroom, clean and tidy with liquid soap, shampoo and conditioner provided. There was even an added surprise of a posh toilet. There was USB powered sockets and a double lamp next to the beds. We had a couple of chairs near the window which I could sit and look out at the bay, spotting the odd cruise liner or regular ferries. On the last day we did have Breakfast, you just go, find a seat, self-serve and have what you want. Would come here again if visiting IOM

I stayed on a trip with Newmarket Holidays (see separate review) Arrived early was welcomed with tea / coffee and croissants. I traveled solo but had a lovely double room, with a very large comfortable bed, pillows could do with upgrading, room was very clean and well equipped, plenty of storage space. Bathroom small but lovely large shower, shower gel and shampoo awkward position, hard to dispense as very close to the wall. Could have done with a hand towel and also towel rail as no where to hang towels. Room had blind plus a lovely thick black out roman blind. View from my room was looked out onto buildings. Breakfast self service, plenty of choice, very well cooked. Dinner again lots of choice and again self service. We did have house keeping i assume this is was because we came with a tour company. There is no lift, I was supposed to have a ground floor due to mobility problems but I was on the first floor, one and half flight of stairs. Bar not a lot of choice. Hotel is in a very good location right on promenade, lovely view of the beach / sea, very close to town center, Manx Museum etc. All of the staff all very friendly and very helpful, especially Sarah and Elliot.

It was way too expensive. I know it’s TT but expecting us to pay extra for breakfast, towels, cleaning and coffee pods was frankly insulting Oh, and the thermostat didn’t work. No way to reduce the heat meant sleeping with the windows open

Small, but comfortable room. Ideally need hand towel as well as bath towel. Very small bathroom. Shower door only opens partially before hitting the sink. Needs smaller sink and moving closer to the toilet or replace the shower door with a bi- folding one. Fan didn't work and no batteries in the clock. Only discovered at 0100 hours and wasn't going to wake the night porter for that. Informed reception in the morning. Only a one night stay. Would expect these things to be checked before occupancy. Pleasant, helpul staff, especially the young man who checked us in and the Scottish lady who worked breakfast.
