Hilton Grand Vacations Club Maui Bay Villas

first time staying in Kihei. When we checked in Doreen said that we will like it here and the hotel did not disappoint. They have excellent hotel staff. I mean every single staff that we encountered there was excellent. Super friendly and helpful. The only drawbacks was that they still having some construction that can affect your view and that you have to walk across the street to access the beach club where they have the restaurant

I was nervous about the distance to the beach from this property, along with it is shown as a 2 star hotel. However, we ended up staying in building ten and the walk to everything along the paths wasn't difficult. To get to their beach access area had specific times and to get to the little beach patch wasn't worth it. We did find that once crossing the road, where people stop its the law, to the left is access to a nice beach. We walked both sides multiple times. There is also an area that is rocked off that we went and snorkled in that had turtles by the Whale thing, very walkable to. Even though our room was a resort view, we had a small view of the ocean from our balcony. The room was nice, it was the 2 bedroom with a king and two twins. There is a suggestion for a timeshare when you first check in, they weren't pushy about it. On the day of check out you can still use the property amenities and you can reserve a shower time for the showers in the lobby area to clean off before leaving. All in all it is not a 2 star property, we were very pleased. Only issue was ordering food because the main restaurant closes early week days.

Love everything about the hotel, I wish they have more food options, need breakfast lunch dinner and more bars and more things to do! They had no breakfast which was terrible, but it’s the most beautiful amazing place and I would love to stay here again. Hope they have breakfast and more lunch and dinner

Sink drawer was broken, light attached to bed would not turn off the entire night keeping family awake. Bidet didn’t work

Very family friendly. Great location, great property, great pools, great amenities. We would love to stay here again the next time we come to Maui.

We were pleased and had young adult sons with us. We would like to return when the resort is fully developed and construction is completed. Got into room late about 4:45PM although we arrived early before check in time - Room was just not ready. Front desk and personnel did their best and were very pleasant. So it worked out fine. GREAT ROOM 2 Bedroom 2 bath full kitchen & living space (slight picturesque VIEW OF ocean) in the middle of resort upper level. Although, the Chicken’s and baby chicks all around became a nuisance. Roosters crowing at 5:30AM in the morning. Only 1 tee towel No broom Or dust pan to pick up daily messes No Instructions on trash and departing guests instructions. Could use a List of Area restaurants , grocery stores, beaches, and other entertainment venues. Many of these are a close drive and worth the visit. Wailea is a little drive with upscale shopping and a nice place to visit. Also, can walk around the Marriott Resort. Grab a drink at the Starbucks and enjoy the large open spaces to relax or play on the swings, play chess, checkers, or cornhole. Pools are all great, adult pool on upper level. Pool Bar area good with wonderful bartenders “happy hour specials” every day. Must personally go to the bar to order. Grab n Go - convenient. Ice cream and the cookies are good. Usually went to the bar or after 3PM went to the restaurant club across the street for food. Very easy access. Unfortunately, Beach area really not worth it to spend the day, except to visit for an adventure. Small area and no chairs at all. Can walk somewhat up and down the beach or trail. The pool and hot tub in that area are great but would recommend it be adults only. A special key is needed to access this area and a maximum of 33 people are permitted at a time. Really need to rent a car. Lots of places to go including restaurants and other close beaches. About 4 or 5 miles up Kihei Road is a nice large park and beach area. Beginning surf lessons are available and they are busy, or just people watch. It’s fun and relaxing. Good food up that way, too! Always expensive but welcome to Hawaii. Check out all the posted pictures for a better feel of the resort.

I arrived at Hilton Grand Vacations Club Maui Bay Villas a day later (Sunday 6/8) than expected so I requested a days refund from Expedia, Expedia says Maui Bay Villas is ignoring their request so they are unable to refund me. Very poor customer service.

Great villa, modern spacious full of amenities!

Location isn’t the greatest among residential housing, beach across the street isn’t ideal. I recommend having a vehicle to drive to nicer beaches.

This property is really built more like a timeshare mini-apartment setup with its built in kitchenette and washer / dryer combo. It’s in a quieter part of Maui so it has more of a laid back feel to it and would suit travelers who really want to have a “home away from home”. Ideal for people who have their own car rental. Nice central location with convenient travel times to different parts of the island. The timeshare “talk” is 90 min for a $300 gift card and discounts to other activities around the island. Supposedly no pressure afterwards but I didn’t personally go to listen to it. The washer has a little separate side box on the wall that you have to activate (press button until it turns green) before the washer will actually run a load. We were given two boxes of Tide laundry detergent (and were able to get an extra box or two from housekeeping). Our room came with 2 free bottles of water per day (pick up from the front desk). Also got a coupon for 2 free mai tai’s from the concierge desk. Avoid the “breakfast included” option unless you really love egg McMuffins. The breakfast is made to order at the on-site “grab and go” store (8a - 3p) and is limited specifically to the English muffin breakfast sandwich - choice of bacon, sausage, or ham. No substitutions allowed. Also comes with one canned Aloha fruit drink or a large coffee. The breakfast also ends at 11am but it doesn’t say that anywhere on the voucher. I would suggest Hilton really consider making this arrangement more flexible (i.e. breakfast sandwich or item or cheaper value) instead of being so rigid. After all, wouldn’t you get tired of the same thing day after day? The menu says you can get it with English muffin or bagel. But I was told that they weren’t supposed to substitute bagels. Also, there seemed to be some confusion from the staff about which drinks were included. The pool areas were good. There is also a separate pool, small private beachlet, and bar/light restaurant across the street, which were all worth checking out. All of the staff were super helpful and friendly, although the only ones I felt were lacking a bit were the food staff associated with the grab and go area. Chickens. OMG there are roosters, hens, and baby chicks ALL over the island. Expect daily wake up “cock a doodle doo!!!” 😂🤣 All in all, still a great hotel and we would go back.
