The Westbury Palace

Breakfast was great!! Location was perfect! The kids loved the heated pool and my husband and I enjoyed the sauna and spa each day with the BEST massage I have honestly ever had! This was a fun stay for our family, and worth the investment! The staff played pool with my kids and we loved using the badmitten and volley ball net. Thanks for the great stay!

Everything was perfect

Lovely and clean hotel with friendly staff. The service felt personalised and the staff were very accommodating. They made us special food on request and made sure we were looked after. The gardens were well kept with beautiful flowers. It felt like we were in England. The pool was heated and they had a pool table which kept the kids entertained.

Beautiful location and facilities. Very clean and the bed is very comfy!! The staff were phenomenal. They truly made us feel welcome and taught us plenty of things about Sri Lanka and the traditional foods. Couldn’t fault the breakfast, it was the best we have ever had in our lives. Hemantha is such a lovely man who showed us how to eat each of the meals the traditional Sri Lankan way. The chef, Kanishka Hayman, incredible. The food he cooked for us was delicious and will never be forgotten. All the staff were lovely and accomodating for us. Great recommendations for what to do around town. Arranged our transport and ensured we were always getting the best experiences! Thank you very much for welcoming Billy and I. We wish we stayed longer. Cannot wait to visit you again

Facilities, especially outdoor hot pool is great. Staff (especially Yashu) is friendly and doing their best.

Coffee is not good. Italian coffee is extra. Generally food and beverages prices are high. Very limited drink menu and overpriced. No in-house SPA staff. SPA was not active, SPA menu unrealistic.

Very nice place, confortable, beautiful and amazing food. The only problem was that in my opinion it was too noisy sometimes, from outside and also coming from other guest. Besides this, no complains at all.

Can’t say a thing negative about this hotel, the staff were extremely helpful and the grounds are beautiful with an easy walk into the town, it’s historical roots are noticeable throughout the property, even the old royal carriage (looked real). Room was very clean, large and very well supplied with toiletries. We had half board and really enjoyed sitting in their lovely dining room , the food was good too .

Pleasant location, good views. Lounge was pleasant and room was well furnished. Owing to the waether we didn't use the pool, but the pool and gardens looked lovely. We used the jacuzzi and sauna but they required some notice to be useable.

It's a bit of a mausoleum. Staff were over attentive. We signed up for the New's Year Eve dinner which was absurdly over priced for what we received. There were almost no other guests so the atmosphere was grim. the dining room lacks natural light. Furnishings are ghastly reproduction 'Empire' style. the weather didn't help but we basically hated it
