I absolutely love the layout and architectural design of this property. The staff is warm and friendly and caters to guests' every need. The location was perfect for visiting most of the popular spots on the island by golf cart, of course. They have a breakfast buffet, heated pool, gym, many onsite eateries, spa services, and a rooftop pool! If I ever return to San Pedro, this will be my place to stay!! Highly recommend!

I wanted to take a moment to highlight the amazing service we received from Hortencio during our stay at Alaia Belize. From day one he was honestly one of the friendliest and most helpful people we met on the trip. He gave us a bunch of great restaurant suggestions and local spots to check out, and he helped us plan our private reef excursion as well as a Mayan trip we wanted to do. What I really appreciated was how he broke everything down for us, prices, timing, travel options, even small things like how far the walking would be when switching between the small jet and the water taxi. It made everything so much easier, especially on a honeymoon when you just want things to go smoothly. A few times we asked for things last minute and he still made it happen without making us feel rushed. He kept checking options for us, comparing different places, and making sure the plans fit what we were looking for. He even helped us with food ideas around the area and where to find certain grocery items. It wasn’t just one moment, throughout the whole stay he was consistent, patient, and genuinely caring. It really felt like he wanted our trip to turn out perfect, and we appreciated that more than he probably knows. Alaia is a beautiful resort on its own, but people like Hortencio take the experience to another level.

Highly recommend!! Gorgeous property, great food, kind people - all around just wonderful. Plus, Eric the doorman is just the sweetest and very attentive.

This was a really nice hotel, great experience wonderful staff, and clean. Thank you to Eric who is a part of staff he was very welcoming with the fresh drinks and towels and assistance with baggage. I can’t wait to come back thank you Alaia staff for a wonderful stay.

I stayed at the Alaia in Belize for seven days, so this is a full experience, not just a quick visit. The staff were extremely nice and the hospitality was amazing. Unfortunately, the food at both restaurants was underwhelming and not what I expected. There is no direct beach access, and overall I felt the resort was overrated. Considering we spent over $2,000, I expected much more for the price. The water in the showers kept fluctuating from warm to scalding hot. We had to repeatedly request room service even though it was supposed to be complimentary, and housekeeping often just straightened the room without replacing towels. I also noticed some questionable black dots on the shower head, which made me wonder if it was mold. The location itself is decent, and the resort is marketed as the most luxurious on the island, but after driving around the entire island, I saw other resorts that seemed better with less marketing. We also went to the hot tub and saw other guests living on the property, and they said the same thing. It was underwhelming and not worth the money. Additionally, noise was an issue. There were parties on the rooftop bar and in the first-floor lounge, and I could hear both of them late at night on Saturday and Sunday. The staff did provide a birthday cake, which I appreciated, but it did not even taste like a standard cake. It literally tasted like dirt and seemed like no thought was put into it. Would I come back? Probably not. This is just my experience, and others may feel differently.

We came to Belize for my birthday/scout for our retirement home and the staff here was AMAZING, KIND, FRIENDLY and just made our stay so enjoyable. Every single staff from the bartenders, security, housekeeping, restaurant staff, concierge EVERYONE we would DEFINITELY come back. Belize itself was AMAZING!!!!!!

The Alaia is an excellent hotel. All staff is extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and we loved seeing Eric every morning in the lobby… which became our coffee stop before heading to the beach each morning. Eric always greeted us with a smile and Happy Tuesday, or whatever day it was… we loved that! The food, accommodations and ambiance is truly an experience.
