Great, very clean and delicious breakfast

The SPA services are quite expensive.

Location is really good

You have to catch one elevator to reception, and then another set of elevators to get to you room.

Wi-Fi is pathetic.

Staff were very good and friendly. everything was clean and had no issues

bar food was ok, but the beef wasn't good. Apart from that all ok

The rooms are beautiful, clean, the view is fantastic. The food was absolutely perfect. The staff is nice and accommodating.

As often with hotels in Mainland China, staff has very little idea on how to deal with foreigners, and will not speak unless absolutely necessary. When we checked in, Joss, our "navigator", did not speak, great us, and looked straight at me, and waited for me to hand over our passports. When she had a question about my visa (or lack thereof, as I am visa-free), she asked my wife, in Chinese, who is Asian but not Chinese. She only spoke to me when it was time to take care of the money – suddenly she spoke, and spoke good English! When I asked for a late check-out, no answer either. Turns out we did get it, but she didn't feel like answering. Breakfast was excellent, but the staff had received the same kind of training – or non-training. It took three tries to get an espresso, and I had to go through my wife: staff wouldn't even look at me – thereafter I took care of it myself... – but when it came to sign the bill, they had someone who could throw a bill holder and pen under my nose, demanding in English that I sign it, right then and there. Front desk is on the 57th floor, rooms below that. You need to take one set of elevators to go up to the 57th, then another set to go to your room. Not the best design... Rooms are great – see photos. Location is also very good, close to the Shenzhen Bay Immigration (hence the name), and with a subway station nearby. All in all a great hotel, with room for improvement on the staff training...
