Residence Inn By Marriott Port Arthur

This hotel was very modern and nice. The studio style room had plenty of space for 2 people and the kitchen was very nice. The bed was a little firm for me, but was still comfortable. The hotel was very quiet and was a nice option close to shopping and restaurants and the general port Arthur area.

I stayed here for 5 nights in December 2024. I was in town for a training class at Lamar University about a 10-15 minute drive away. The hotel was nice, rooms were clean with a nice kitchenette. Laundry available onsite. Nice breakfast available every morning. Conveniently located close to multiple restaurants, stores, Walmart, gas stations. I would definitely stay here again. Recommended.

Clean, quiet, and excellent customer service. Breakfast is quick and easy and there are a ton of options to choose from. There’s also a restaurant within walking distance. I have to occasionally travel to Port Arthur for work and this is my go to hotel.

Upon arrival, it was so nice to see a well lit and beautiful property. Walking in was just as bright and well welcoming.Camera’s everywhere. Went to front desk and had the opportunity to meet James. Very professional and personable. That is very nice after traveling and arriving in the evening. James was so kind. He made sure we had what we needed. Thank you James. Went to our room and what a clean, crisp room. Housekeeping definitely takes pride in their job. Such a plus. Kudos to housekeeping. Please be kind and don’t leave a big mess for them. They work hard for us to have this opportunity. The bed was comfortable. The A/C worked great. Had a good nights rest. Woke up and went to breakfast. Rounded the corner and it smelled wonderful. They actually have glass plates and real silverware. For as many people that were eating, everything was full and clean. A great big shout out to Nora,Linda and Carmen. As busy as they were and demanding people, they never lost the pleasant attitude and they would greet you. I need assistance to print something and Mariella was the go to person. She greeted me when I came to front desk with a smile. I explained what I needed and she helped me with no reservations. Thank you Ms. Mariella. All said and done when you are in this area this is the place to stay. I know we will be staying here every time we come here.

Our Business trips includes a stay at the Residence Inn as a must. We as a group made a choice that this is the hotel to stay at. It is very clean, friendly staff which is very important. The free complimentary breakfast is wonderful. I love the small kitchen with microwave and fridge, coffee maker and mini stove too. The rooms feel like you are in a well equipped efficiency. The happy hour at the end of a work day is great. No need to go anywhere else. My next trip I will be staying a little longer and will be using their laundry service. In addition, I hear they have a room to laundry your own clothes if you choose. I highly recommend this hotel over any other in the area. As it close to a variety of restaurants, even has a sports bar restaurant right across the street. You won’t regret a stay here. It’s the best so far! Highly recommend.
