Locals were friendly

Room was bad, toilet seat was broken, shower door didn't close, had 1 screw holding the yale lock closed, one socket wasn't working, needs serious updating. Bar didn't have consistent prices,

Reception and bar area was lovely

The room was cold, dark, damp and smelled damp. Heater didn't work, TV didn't work only 1 mug and it was chipped, no teaspoons. Only 3 pillows between 2 people. I know it was cheap but it wasn't even clean. Toilet wobbled as if it was going to fall over

The receptionist was nice.

The carpet in the room was full of crumbs/little stone in any case had not been hoovered. The mattress was not comfortable at all encoded back pain the following morning. Why is the booking.com?

"Miserable, gloomy, depressing and it should be condemned."

This place had nothing positive to like

Not within walking distance to much. Room was dated and small. Shower was ridiculous with mould all around the sealing . Nothing had been updated in around 30 years in our opinion. We asked about the restaurant so we could have an evening meal and so we were informed the restaurant is closed.. and only open Friday and Saturday. we asked about breakfast and again informed there are no staff to cook it. We were told if we wished to order food delivery they would provide the crockery and cutlery to eat in their empty restaurant. We enquired what time the bar closed and informed 9pm. We drove to a local retail park to have KFC for dinner. We had booked for 2 nights but stayed 1 as it was so depressing and dismal. I have photos of our room but haven’t posted them. If anyone would like to see them I’ll gladly send them.

Nothing

The hotel was vile to be very honest. The bedroom smelt of bad wee even the desk and the cups. It was like the previous person had weed all over the table. There was only 1 person cover both reception and bar/restaurant area. We tried to order food however they advised they are not doing food on Tuesdays. It was a dive and I would of rather slept in my car then this hotel. It needs a serious revamp as I’m not sure how it’s still running!
