Mission Pacific Beach Resort, part of JdV by Hyatt

Everything during our stay was incredible, from the helpful and friendly front staff, bellhop, waiters at the Rooftop and servers at The Piper. You can't beat the location at this fairly new hotel. What and incredible time - can't wait to return.

No room refrigerator, Pool closed during our stay. No bar in the lobby. Only restaurant was by the pool but with the pool area closed, not much option

Amazing hotel, wonderful location. Friendly staff at every turn. Valle restaurant is a must. The food and staff and the Valle restaurant made our dinner experience a 10/10. The hotel staff was helpful, friendly, we were greeted with a glass of wine. My kind of welcome!!

I would highly recommend this resort. Not only is it in a prime location with beautiful views, it was well kept, extremely clean and the staff was the best—from check-in, to the roof top bar employees and the staff at check out and valet—everyone was genuinely kind and hospitable.

We stayed here for our wedding weekend (we got married in a winery nearby)! The staff was beyond - they gave us a welcome dog bag for our pup, decorated our room and overall loved the upkeep of the rooms! Highly recommend this hotel if you want to stay close to the beach with the best views from your room and restaurant!

MPB is a nice hotel overall. They are associated with Marriott which is probably why they have fallen into an average state in terms of cost v benefits. The beds are not comfortable at all (unless you prefer hard stiff mattress) the bedding is average hotel chain quality which is what you’d expect from Marriott but not a boutique hotel like MPB. The hotel is situated directly across from the commuter train and if your room is located on that side, good luck sleeping past 5am. If you book and Ocean View room, you will not get what you consider Ocean View, it will likely be obstructed by something. The onsite restaurant HighTide was excellent. The Rooftop restaurant was ok. The pool area and cabana service was excellent. Kids enjoyed the stay at MPB but parents will likely choose a different hotel on next trip as the overall cost v benefit substantially favors Marriott.

Overall, the hotel is Excellent and highly recommended, Super location (on beach front) and Excellent staff. Room was clean and coffee machine was much appreciated

My daughter joined me while I attended the conference. She was so happy walking to the pier and meeting friendly fisherman. I was content in my conference knowing she was in a friendly and safe environment.

We absolutely loved our stay! As locals, it was the perfect staycation spot before participating in Ride the Coast on November 1. The hotel made it incredibly easy to store our bikes overnight in a secure location, which was a huge plus. We’re frequent visitors to H/L and the rooftop bar, so staying here just added another reason to love this place. One note: if you're in a partial oceanview room near the Mission, be prepared for a bit of noise—pretty typical for a coastal location, but worth mentioning. Overall, a great experience and we’ll definitely be back!
