"Amazing hotel"

10.0

My husband and I stayed for 5 days and it was perfect. Weather was 29 degrees daily although got cooler in the evening The rooms are large with lovely bathroom. We had a separate rainfall shower along with a stand alone bath. We was on ground floor so the doors opened onto a lovely green area. The restaurants are some of the best we have eaten at and we live in London and have travelled to a lot of countries. Our favourite was the Tapas restaurant which we went to twice. The food was amazing, large portions great ambience with the flame heaters and watching the sunset. We also went to the Japanese restaurant twice which was also of the same standard and the DJ Was great and sushi lovely. Beef & Reef served amazing lobster and burgers. The drinks at the hotel are quite expensive cocktails around £13, bottle of prosecco £48. Can of coke £3 They will make cocktails off the menu if you ask. Breakfast also you can request Eggs royale, eggs benedict or pancakes and they will make for you. We stayed at the adult only pool & every morning the bar tender placed towels on our sun bed. There is also an outdoor jacuzzi. We didn't venture outside of the hotel too much, as there's not much around but the hotel offered everything we needed for a relaxing, luxury break. Highly recommend this hotel. Tip- there is a cash machine at the hotel as you cannot exchange uk money before you go only once in Morroco.

"Jet2 awful, Fairmont exceptional"

10.0

Jet2 awful, Fairmont exceptional. *Note - the 5 star rating is based solely on Fairmont. Would be unfair to rate one star overall, which is what I would have given Jet2. My wife and I spent a week at Fairmont, Taghazout Bay, 28Sep-5Oct, travelling from Manchester. Our first time to Morocco and the first “indulgent escape” we have booked with Jet2 holidays. Unfortunately our flights both ways were significantly delayed without advanced notice, and our pre-booked seats moved due to an “unexpected change in aircraft”. On the way out we were cooped up on the back row, row 39, directly outside the toilets (disgusting seats), and were not even sat together on the flight back. I asked about this and was told the flight was full, nothing the staff could do, despite us being one of the first to check our bags in at the airport. Far from an indulgent experience flying with Jet2. Lots of other passengers in a similar position and complaints a-plenty on board. Simply not good enough. Other than that the holiday was superb. On arrival it was immediately noticeable how quiet Fairmont was and the staff informed us we were into their low season, which suited us fine! At times it felt like we had the resort to ourselves and the location is bliss. We preferred the sun loungers by the beach, but there were also plenty available by the spacious pool areas. The weather was perfect, 28 degrees most days with a refreshing sea breeze. Great for sunbathing and/or gentle walks along the 5km long sandy beach/promenade. Most of our week was spent at Fairmont, but we did get out to see the sights of nearby Taghazout one evening and had a meal at Windy Bay restaurant - the Octopus tagine was excellent. Fairmont is amazing though and the stars of the show are the staff who could not have been more attentive, but in a subtle and very unobtrusive way. The four main restaurants on site are all fantastic. “Tapa” serves mainly tapas dishes which are large in size and high quality. “Morimoto”, the Japanese restaurant is very swanky, with a live DJ playing through the evening. The mixed meats/fish skewers signature dish we had was unreal! “Paper Moon” serves Italian fayre, and the pizzas were among the best I’ve had anywhere in the world. And on our final night we went for the star of the show “Beef and reef” paella - a veritable feast for two (in truth would have fed four!) After dinner one evening we spent half an hour in “Nola”, a high end jazz bar with a live four piece playing - a very different and largely pleasant experience. We only left as it became apparent when a few other guests arrived that it is also a cigar bar - a throw back to the 1980s back home in the UK as a cloud of smoke descended on us two non-smokers! A special mention to Mohamed who served us in Morimoto, and Hamza who looked after us all week on the beach, two of many extremely welcoming and thoroughly lovely staff. Thank you to them, all of the breakfast crew, and others who made our stay so very special. From speaking to the staff it is much busier peak season (June to September) but we found the serenity of being “out of season” just tranquil. One watch out to end … alcohol isn’t readily available outside the hotel (nowhere in Tamaraght and only a couple of restaurants in Taghazout), and isn’t cheap at Fairmont. 100 Moroccan Dirham (£8.20) for a 330ml bottle of local Casablanca beer and 120 (£10) for a small glass of local wine.

"Perfect Stay Thanks to the Amazing Security and Lifeguard Team"

10.0

rarely write reviews, but this one truly deserves it. My stay at Fairmont Taghazout Bay was exceptional. Beyond the stunning location and high quality service, what impressed me the most was the sense of safety and calm all around the resort. The Safety and Security team does an amazing job always present, discreet, and highly professional. You can feel their dedication in every detail. A special mention to Mohamed Baskar, a friendly and attentive lifeguard who is always ready to help and truly devoted to his work. The resort is spotless, the pools are beautiful, and the beach is simply perfect. For guests who like to explore outside, there are nice local restaurants nearby where you can enjoy good food at affordable prices. Big thanks to the entire team, and special appreciation to the Head of Security, whose leadership and professionalism make the atmosphere here feel both safe and welcoming. Fairmont Taghazout Bay truly deserves its five stars

"Beautiful hotel"

8.0

We had a lovely four night stay. The hotel is beautiful, the pools are lovely and the beach is fantastic. We rented bikes to cycle to Taghazout, had a surf lesson and relaxed at the beach and the pool. We had massages in the spa and used the facilities beforehand. Unfortunately the spa pool was broken in the men's area and the hammam was broken in both the men and the women's area. The massages were excellent. Unfortunately two evenings out of the four we didn't get a turndown service. Also the hairdryer would not stay plugged in to the socket in the hairdryer drawer which was very annoying. The room was spotlessly clean. The breakfast was good and as vegans we had plenty of choice. We had two meals at Paper Moon which were ok. We had high hopes for the second meal as Fabrizio Aceti was visiting the hotel to prepare special food. Unfortunately our starter was a large bowl of chopped artichoke which was very bland and very disappointing. We had a very good meal in Tapa, they even had a vegan menu! We listened to jazz in Nola but the second time we went it was too smoky for us to stay. I think our favourite bar was Juniper and Mustafa who worked there was excellent, so friendly and helpful. The hotel staff were all very good and the hotel was very good. There was plenty going on and it would have been nice to have something in the room that we could read to find out what was going on where and when!

"Very Disappointing"

Terrible service, unclean room, and staff who don’t seem to care. The hotel looks nice in pictures but is poorly maintained and overpriced. Definitely not worth the money, avoid if you’re expecting real five-star quality.

"One of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed in!"

10.0

Our stay at Fairmont Taghazhout Bay was exceptional. The manager’s personal attention and the warmth of every staff member made us feel truly special. The hotel is spotless, beautifully run, and has the most wonderfully chilled vibe. Exceptional hospitality, fantastic team, and world-class management — a true credit to the Fairmont ethos. Can’t wait to return!

"One of the best hotel we ever been at"

10.0

I had a truly wonderful stay at this hotel. The massage treatment with Fatima was absolutely amazing – one of the best I’ve ever experienced. The staff members, Allal and Sarah, were simply outstanding: warm, attentive, and providing exceptional service that made me feel at home. And the breakfast? Absolutely phenomenal – a perfect way to start each day. Highly recommended!

"Avoid at all costs!"

2.0

Do not let the brand fool you. Stayed at many top hotels and some American branded however this takes top spot for a knock off hotel. Restaurants in the hotel are overpriced for what it is; I was served parmigiana in the their Italian restaurant which arrived cold, and when questioned if this was made fresh and lied to, I explained the process of how this is made and should take minimum 30-40 minutes not 15 mins after which they said it was made early afternoon that day. The hotel lacks amenities, and real character. Rooms are nice but no point paying top money to sit in them! Also not a single decent restaurant in the entire area. Avoid like the plague in my opinion
