St Helen's House with Minster views

Very central, and everything you want to do is on your doorstep

The smell was really bad, we were informed of a leak inside the property the day before we arrived. The smell was obvious as we arrived on Tuesday AM but was only on the ground floor on arrival. However by the end of the first day, the smell was on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd floor. It made one of the couples leave early who were on the 2nd floor. I messaged the hosts on the Wednesday to explain the smell would need to be looked at, and they just said they were sorry.

Location is very good and only a short walk from the railway station and surrounded by many of the city centre attractions.

Very small things such as a few additional loo roles and refuge sacks would have been nice, nothing major, I marked down the noisy room but it is only the front bedroom that was loud quite late at night which it clearly states in the documentation, back bedrooms are very quiet.

The only issue was the key pad on the front door was difficult to use

The property was fantastic. However, the nights were very noisy for the occupants in the front bedrooms. It is opposite an all night McDonalds which serves everyone coming out of nightclubs etc and then a huge lorry comes in the early hours and restocks. This lorry has metal trays and containers which kept those sleeping in the front bedrooms wide awake. A real shame as we loved the property and the location but some of were very tired after after a sleepless night. They do provide ear plugs but these are did not keep out the sounds. Could not understand why secondary double glazing was not in place.

Big and spacious older home in the middle of town. Easy access to Christmas market, restaurants and shops. Convenient code entry to apartment. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms to choose from. Well stocked kitchen with milk and prosecco wine for warm welcome.

Apartment spread over 4 floor, so always up and down. A little chilly, but heaters provided for the rooms.
