Ciyé Hotel

The room was large, clean, high ceilings, drinkable water station on each floor, breakfast delivered to the room was very very nice. The roof was beautiful with very comfortable deck chairs. The bar downstairs is fantastic as well.

There is a day care or kindergarten next door. Although the children are adorable, they are very loudly playing outside from about 10am, which was clearly audible from our room on the second floor. Also, the room was on the main drag so you could hear motor bikes driving by early in the am. I’d recommend earplugs.

There is a school next door so if you are looking to sleep in you’ll have the sound of kids playing in the morning. Not a problem for me but could be for someone.

This sweet little boutique hotel met my expectations. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean. I loved the balcony to take in the street life. We used the bikes offered and had a great time touring the town. Everything is within walking distance. The breakfast was just perfect!

The beds and pillows were a little firm for my liking. Washcloths would be a nice addition.

Fascinating that the hotel subsequently claims they tried to find an alternate solution. Prove it! Show the texts you sent me... because you didn't. Either you have me confused with other irritated guests, or you're lying. It's honestly not worth the debate. Facts are that you did nothing to stop your guests screaming in the hotel for hours... and you did not communicate with me at all. All you said, AFTER I wrote to you...and I quote, "Good morning... we noticed and we regret the situation, however the people have already left today, even so let us know if you would like to continue with the check out." That's zero accountability and zero accommodation. Zero.

The hotel makes you sign a pledge not to make noise after 10pm. But, we listened to people yelling in the hotel until after 2am, despite there being a security guard in the lobby and cameras throughout the hotel. The hotel did nothing to preserve quiet. While they apologized for it the next day (only when we complained), they could offer no commitment that it wouldn't happen again, saying only that the loud guests had left. Concerning here is that there is no process or accountability to prevent this, despite a lot of lip service to maintaining quiet. The risk sits with the consumer, who may receive a worthless apology. We had to switch hotels, and were refunded nothing.

It’s even better than the pictures, very comfortable, clean, nice design touches, the rooftop has an incredible view and the pool is amazing. The staff is super nice, friendly and polite. They really are concerned that the guest has the best experience. We had a little issue and they handled as a 5 star hotel would! Super recommend!

The rooms facing the Main Street are noisy, due to restaurants and bars on the street.

The hotel architecture was beautiful. That’s where the effort ended. Hotel operations, including front desk hospitality was luke warm and untrained. The complimentary breakfast was nice, but stale and never fresh. Zero housekeeping was offered when requested. Bath and pool towels were stingy.

Despite the hotel website claims of a “destination known for its tranquility and unique energy, perfect for disconnecting from the noise and connecting with yourself,” it was nothing like that. It was excessively loud the entire stay, street mariachi trumpets at 1:00 am in the morning, very loud bingo drums late into the early morning, and obnoxiously loud street performers every night (even pre-New Years Eve). The earplugs provided are not sufficient for a “luxury” stay. Very dissatisfied!!
