SAND DIAMOND HOTEL

I stayed for 7 nights and was very comfortable at this hotel. Everything needed is within the secure area including shopping, hardware store, laundry, restaurants, bar and a casino. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Shuttles available to Panama City. English is spoken quite well.

One-night-stay in an average Hotel - nothing special... Check-in very friendly and fast. Room big, but close to elevator and therefore very noisy. Dinner in Buffet style had been okay with local offers. Breakfast has been a little bit less quality as dinner. All in all - three points. Have experienced better Hotels in Carribean.

We booked and stayed one night. It was clean, quiet, secure. Room was clean and attractive, bed was comfortable, bath was nice. Shower water only got to slightly warm, but pressure was ok. Disappointed that the pool closed at 7:00 pm so could not use. Breakfast buffet was very good and service was good.

Rooms are below average and the price is a little high. And bring your own wash clothes they don’t provide them. I spent two weeks here earlier this month and my bill for my room was dramatically higher than what I had booked. I left my laundry to be done one morning and they said they’d have it ready by 5 that evening, it wasn’t. This time I booked for another 10 days due to the location. The sink in the bathroom had no stopper in the drain, so I asked for it to be repaired so I could shave. 5 days later and asking again. I gave up. Tonight night 6 or n this visit I was awaken to the fire alarm. So I went down and asked what was going on, then went outside and smoked. About an hour later they came to my room and accused me of smoking in my room and causing the alarm to go off and the motel policy was a $2,000 fine. They said if I paid them they wouldn’t fill out a report. I argued and they finally left. I would most definitely steer clear of this hotel.

Very good facilities. Pool / Restaurant / Breakfast included / Bar. The hotel has a straight way to casino and millenium plaza. All workers there are ready for assist you any time. Very quiet rooms In the highest floors you have a real good view to Colon city and Panama Canal entrance.

Its not my first time staying in this hotel, but the las week I stayed 2 night I was planned to stay 3, but the bad servicie made me run away, the wi fi service its not working, and I need wi fi to work form my bedroom, and the second night the A/C in the entire hotel broked so it was very hot, and the humidity was terrible also.

My family and I have stayed at the sand diamond hotel before. This hotel is very safe I think it's the safest place to stay while staying in Colon Panama the staff are very friendly the food is good.they have a gym to workout also a swimming pool

Accommodations were average. If you just need a place to sleep at nights and be out in the day this is good. Wireless service is very poor. I was not able to do business transactions online during my stay neither Skype nor whatsapp calls.

Been staying every year since the hotel openned as Sheraton Four Points Hotel, now the Sand Diamond Hotel.. To me, it most centric and secured hotel in Colón... The hotel is Millennium Plaza, there are some banks, with ATM machines, organic dry cleaners, some eateries, bakeshop, pharmacy, nail and hair salon.. Room is comfortable but the hotel needs total renovations inside out...I have been seen the same decor since they opened.. The lounge furniture needs to be updated...and so does the lobby sitting areas... The pool closes at 7pm, something that should be looked at.. cause most pools at other hotels stay open until later time...NOT SURE IF SOMETHING HAPPENED, the pool is not that deep and if I might SUGGEST, children should not be in the pool after 7pm if that is the case... Breakfast buffets has gone down...not enough options and very repetitive...it wasn't like that before...I know they are going through change, but quality needs to come up... There is,a new Mediterranean hotel next to the hotel called Beirut, they just opened...great food, atsmosphere and some nights, they have belly dancers....they also gave a patio adjoining to the hotel's pool...very nice.. You still get access to the duty free zone through the hotel, just show the your passport are they will give you passes... Transportation is still accessible from the hotel to the free zone and back...they do have schedules. The are a couple major stores, small shop and eateries at 4 Altos..3 mins from the hotel.. Cab ride from the hot There is also a El Rey Supermarket where you can purchase, calling cards, beer, wine, food, (pharmacy inside), ATM machines, etc... Otherwise,do not walk out at night... Not safe.... Otherwise, have fun and enjoy.. Looking forward to changes and renovations next year.. Will keep you posted..

The hotel has stopped taking credit cards. The Banks have cut them off. Owner has been indited for money laundering. The food and service has gone south. Staff has been reduced. The people at the front desk act like they are doing you a favor to help you.
