SAND DIAMOND HOTEL

The staff was friendly and very accommodating of queries and providing adequate guidance. The hotel is located in the Free Zone and transportation was readily available. The hotel and room was clean and the room was very spacious for the cost.

My stay at this hotel was underwhelming. In fact I checked out early and stayed my last night in Panama at the Crowne Plaza. My stay there was as different as a day and a night. Your hotel is dated, it has a mildew smell. It's dark and dingy. It needs cleaning from top to bottom. It needs new carpet new bedding. I have stayed there several times. This however was the worst. I will not be staying here again.

The location

The staff and personnel were awesome specially the front desk and restaurant personnel went above and beyond to make my stay worthwhile. The facility needs some upgrades specially in the rooms. I have been staying in this hotel for many many years and this time I have seen the decadence in the facilities specifically the rooms. Parking is available but the process is tedious, you have to make too many maneuvers to get in and out of your parking space; I guess it is set up that way to keep none customers from parking there. Again the staff was superb, the main entrance still has that captivating appearance but the rooms need some upgrades

Good option to stay nearby

This hotel is in need of maintenance. Lots of mold in the bathrooms, floors dirty, curtains not functional. The rates vary depending on who you are, where you're from and who's at the reception desk. You're pretty much forced to include the buffet in your rate. And if you refuse to add the $15.00 buffet, you're not allowed / given the option to even purchase a cup of coffee. It's either the $15.00 + tax buffett to get a cup of coffee or nothing. Towels are a commodity . If you ask for an extra towel you are told one for one. No in room coffee, no complimentary coffee. The staff seem a bit condecending. The pool ......I wouldn't dip my toe in it. Lunch is the same , buffet or go home. However; dinner is a la carte. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
