Our stay at Le Meridien Maldives Resort & Spa was truly unforgettable! We stayed in the 3-bedroom villa with my kids, and it was absolutely perfect. The villa was spacious, beautifully designed, and offered breathtaking views — and the private pool quickly became everyone’s favorite spot! The staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home, especially Mr. Maadh, whose warm hospitality and personal touch made our stay even more special. This resort is a fantastic choice for families with kids. Everything from the food to the activities was thoughtfully planned to suit all ages. We had such a wonderful time that we’re already looking forward to coming back soon. Highly recommend this resort for anyone looking for a mix of luxury, comfort, and genuine Maldivian warmth.

We have been to several resorts in Maledives and this was the best house reef experience. We stayed at 247, two bedroom villa, that had amazing snorkling just from the steps of the ’End of the pier’. The reef was 180m away, so you could swim there and back on your own. We saw every day sting rays, reef sharks and other beautiful fish. Coral not so much. Rubis was giving us so great work out with Hari. We really appreciate your skills and professional touch. Also paddle court was handy 60$/h. in the evening. Every morning complementary 8o’clock exercise was wonderful. We just loved the bikes! It was so relaxing to ride along the island. The pier was 400m each and the island around 1km. Jamel, thank you for taking so good care of our villa, Yusuf and Abby at the breakfast and Alibaba at Riviera. Amir was amazing at Vela. Izam, you made our holiday extra special in Tabemasu! And great thanks to all of you, whose name I forgot to mention! We had full board, that I warmly recommend. One of the highlights of our trip was the dining experience. Chef Pradeep of Velaa went above and beyond to ensure every meal was perfect. When one of our dishes didn’t quite meet our expectations, he immediately offered a replacement with such genuine kindness and professionalism. The new dish was delicious, and his thoughtful gesture left a deep impression on us. Throughout our stay, the staff were exceptionally attentive, friendly, and caring. Every detail—from the presentation of the food to the personalized service—showed their dedication and passion. Thank you, Chef Pradeep and the entire team at Le Méridien Maldives, for making our stay so memorable. We truly appreciated your hospitality and will cherish these experiences for a long time. This resort is absolutely top-notch in every way! My husband and I returned here for the second time in the last six months - the first time we spent our honeymoon here, and it was truly the best experience we’ve ever had, even though we’ve been to the Maldives several times before. The island itself is stunning - lush, green, and beautifully maintained. The villas are spacious, elegant and kept in perfect condition. We genuinely felt like welcomed guests throughout our entire stay. The food is simply outstanding - every single meal was incredible. We would like to express our deepest thanks to all the staff, especially Chef Pradeep, who took such wonderful care of us during our stay and always went above and beyond to make everything perfect. Our farewell dinner at Velaa Bar & Grill was unforgettable - the chef’s special menu and the beautiful table decorations made it a truly magical evening. Also thank you and sending greetings to all the guys from our beloved La Vie bar - especcially Safaq and Ucup! We also really enjoyed the amazing Mixology Masterclass at the Japanese restaurant — it exceeded all our expectations and was such a fun experience! It was amazing! Definitely coming back Being vegetarian, all the chefs were great and made special meals for us. Thank you specially to Pradeep, Suraj who made us very comfortable and Abhishek, Kristina and Aapaa from the support crew. All the food was amazing, and i don't say this lightly each meal was one of the bests we have had in our lives. The ingrediencies were fresh and some grown on the island. Thank you to Magoo and hardy for the Reef diving and helping teach novices better snorkeling.

Went at the end of September to the beginning of October 2025 for a week with my family and had a great experience. Someone was waiting for us at the airport and managed the luggage and the tickets for our flight to the island. At the island we had a big greeting contingent, making us feel at ease right away. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable. You have a lot of privacy, while you realize there are more guests during breakfast for the rest of the day you feel you have the whole place for yourself. The water is warm and shallow, the coral reef area is amazing to explore at your leisurely pace, full of wildlife from exotic fishes, turtles and manta rays. While you can simply relax all day, there are also a lot of actitivities from sunset yoga (which was a great experience), to bingo night (always fun) and biking around the island. The buffet breakfast was delicious with options for every palate and taste and you have several restaurants to choose from for the other meals. The staff was also top notch, with a great host like chef Pradeep, and always greeted you with a big smile (shoutout to Ali), always asked if they could do anything for you and remembered our names or preferences at second encounters. The place was very much alive, we encountered countless geckos and numerous tiny crabs in their tiny shells at the beach. We had a splendid and very relaxed vacation. Would highly recommend it and can’t wait for the next vacation there.

It is our 2nd time staying at Le méridien. We are very happy back again. Room and view are still the same comparing to 3 years ago. The service is even better. We notice some positive changes. The arrival lounge at Male seaplane port is very nice after a long trip. There are live singing performances almost every night at La Vie bar or Velaa restaurant. We love it. The food and drinks are great as always. Special thanks to the amazing staff who make our trip memorable. Ali baba made a special birthday decoration at the Tabemasu restaurant. Chef Pradeep and his team created a special poolside dinner for our last night. Chef Muthu surprised us with personalized dishes and made delicious French toast. Thanks to Emma, Mauch, Akbar, Abby, and Thallu who knew our routine and made the dining experience enjoyable. Thanks to Bimit and Ashfaan who made our villa clean and neat. Also, thanks Aru who was helpful and informative even though he wasn’t assigned to our room. And lastly, thanks to Jennifer who generously upgraded our villa and made the birthday trip so special.

My wife and i really enjoyed, this is our 2nd time here for our anniversary. And every time it’s unforgettable memory. Such a nice place full with positive energy and relaxing vibes. All the staff were very helpful and special thanks to Mr Ali who was taking a very good care of us during our stay.

Perfect scenery, friendly staff, and smooth operations — everything about our stay was flawless! Among all the wonderful staff, Ali stood out the most. His attentiveness and care in every detail made our trip truly unforgettable. We are deeply grateful to him. Choosing this hotel was the best decision we could’ve made — our whole family, including the kids, was absolutely delighted!

Overall a great experience from start to finish. What we went well: - pre-booking and pre-arrival: Though it took some back and forth, always got quick and thorough answers. - airport transfers and lounges: We arrived the night before (around 9:30) and stayed in Male. Got the first flight to the resort the next morning (7:30AM), maximizing our first day. - beautiful, trouble free arrival: Even though we arrived much sooner than normal check-in, we were able to relax, eat, and drink at Turquoise, get a tour of the island, and ultimately check-in quite early (10:30AM). - the room: We stayed in a sunrise overwater villa (#225, right in the middle of the west jetty) for easier access to the house reef and “adult” end of the island. It’s wonderful how easy it is to see out but almost impossible to see in (except at night). Sparsely decorated but well appointed and comfortable room with incredible views from both the bedroom and the shower/bath. - the food and drinks: We did the all inclusive package and really enjoyed for the most part though I’m not sure we would do it again (for reasons below). Overall great food and some nice drinks/juices and not just for “resort food"; as compared to all of our travels. Tabemasu and Velaa were our clear favorites. - the staff: Very kind and very responsive. Easy and quick communication via WhatsApp (our preferred method of communicating). Loved learning more about local culture/life from the locals working at the resort. What was exceptional - the snorkeling: It was our first time snorkeling and I'm not sure we could've chosen a better place. The house reef was incredible, over 800 meters long. And that doesn't include some great snorkeling around the east jetty and grass beds as well. Swam with innumerable species of fish (also lots of "fish soup" as I've heard it called), including black tip reef sharks, different rays, octopus, and sea turtles. Met German couple in their 30's who were avid snorkelers/scuba divers and they noted how great it was as well. This was their second time at Le Meridien (and 10th time in the Maldives) - the spa: My wife had two massages with Lhamo and said it's the best she's ever had. She also loved the pre-massage relaxation and the overall atmosphere of the spa. - jet ski/snorkeling excursion: I took the 2 hour jet ski and nurse shark/sea turtle excursion. The guides, Mega and Nifou, were great. Brand new Yamaha wave runners were a blast. Snorkeled for about 45 minutes with as many as 15-20 nurse sharks, some quite large (about 3 meters). Then traveled to two other reefs/coral formations to snorkel with sea turtles and rays. - Nuttey and Alex at the water sports: Nuttey took time to share a lot about snorkeling at the resort and about local life in general. Alex (scuba instructor/guide), gave me a scuba trial, making it simple and easy to understand and also took time to speak more about his passion for scuba and travels. - Mauch: While all the staff were helpful and courteous, Mauch was particularly kind and attentive. His service stood out to us. Some areas for improvement - all inclusive package: Our only disappointment was the refilling of the in-room minibar. First, it wasn't refilled everyday, especially if we didn't ask. Second, it wasn't varied or particularly nice, especially the food (just the same plain Lay's potato chips, some strange peanuts, and two chocolate bars). - desserts: while we loved most all of the other food, there were only a couple of desserts that we really enjoyed. The ice cream (and sometimes the sorbet) was very icy, like it was thawed and refrozen or scooped out and then frozen first. Other desserts also felt like they had been frozen (not fresh). - need more pork: they serve pork belly as mains, but no pork bacon and or ham for breakfast, burgers, etc. It's already non-halal with the presence of the pork, so please go all in (especially when I'm coming from Saudi Arabia and looking forward to it). - mixed alcoholic drinks: they are quite watered down like many others have mentioned in reviews. - the swinging closet doors: yes it's trivial but so annoying and unnecessary Even with the possible improvements, we still give it 5 stars and would love to return sometime in the future!
