Inside No. 1 Retreat

A lovely little retreat in nice surroundings close to visit several areas

Nice property in a lovely location. The owner kept us informed with messages and we were able to go in a little earlier.

The TV reception is not very good, especially when it rains

clean and comfortable, well equipped lodge had everything we needed and more. helpful owner, nothing too much trouble. we took our dog. blankets, bowls, and biscuits were supplied outside table and chairs to use also loungers a great touch

There is many things to do around the area. We had amazing weekend and Margaret is very kind and helpful person.

Right from first sight, before even going in, we thought it looked lovely and just what we wanted. Great location on the site, opposite a small duck pond. The outside seating areas are in good positions to take advantage of the sun and in the evening we could sit out until late to catch the last of the sunshine. It got better when we went into the lodge. Spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished in every room. Plenty of items in the cupboards for cleaning and even quite a few items that we could have forgotten to bring, like tea, coffee, sugar etc, even a spice rack. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom a decent size with choice of bath or shower. We loved the double aspect patio doors that made everywhere inside so light and airy. in a word, perfect, for us. A special mention to Margaret, who was always in contact promptly about any query that we had. We hope to return soon

The lodge was exceptional, clean and spacious. Home from home with all the personal touches.

No 1 Retreat was very comfortable, cosy and well equipped. Location was picturesque and peaceful. It's also a good base for day trips to Lake District! While me and my sister didn't have a dog, I loved how there was even a jar of dog treats available.
