This hotel is now CLOSED. Do not arrive or book as we did yesterday to find it locked and shut down, having to shell out more money for another hotel. None of the contact options were available and their phone number just rang with no answer to their messages. Again, this hotel is CLOSED. DO NOT BOOK.

This hotel needs to be shut down and removed from your site. Absolutely attorcious experience. Booked for 4 rooms for 2 nights. On check in I was advised that only 1 night was available. We were asked to show our Hotels .com invoice and then paid 50% of the total invoice on a portable card reader. It gets better…….. Walked up the filthy stairwell to my room to find it was a room that had not been serviced and or was someone else’s room.

Room was clean and tidy, but general areas run down and lacked care. Staff not very visible at all. Right near pubs and clubs, so a bit noisy but ok. Fine for price and as a lone traveller for one night, but wouldn’t take family.

Bad smelling corridors. Weird deserted cafe that was closed at reception. Not the friendliest staff when we checked in. No one there when we checked out. Very good location Clean bed linen

No welcome on arrival. Smashed card machine. Room was dirty, moved the bed to revover something dropped, disgusting under there, so much rubbish. Chewing gum in the sink plug hole. Loud music til 0400 thanks to a club outside, admittedly not the hotels fault, but dont go there expecting a decent nights sleep.

Got the job done for what I needed, but I can see every reason for people not to like it. Staff seemed like they didn't want to be there, the fittings in some of the fixtures and furniture in the room where loose, no WiFi password given despite access being advertised. Noisy area, but it's a Saturday night in Newport and I don't sleep well travelling anyway.

So bad it was laughable. Impolite welcome from the staff, no facilities open in the ground floor i.e. coffee bar /drinks machine, stains on the bedroom wall (not human, but we had to check), and t-bags thrown onto the table with no coverings /box. Bed linen was clean, as was the bathroom, but we were awake most of the night due to adjoining nightclub, and thereafter fellow guests talking and banging doors at 4am. Plus, no staff in reception on departure - so we couldn't get back into the hotel after we'd been out for a coffee.

Walked in and stayed half an hour to long. When we arrived, there was nobody on reception and reception was nothing like the photos we had seen. It looked like somebody had had a fight with a front reception desk and ripped off the sign off and smashed their card reader as you walk through the doors to go to the rooms, there is a smell of smoke throughout the whole building, I’m being pregnant at the time this was not safe environment for myself. I arrived to the room on first impressions I thought okay I can manage a night here until I pulled back the bed covers to reveal three stains what I can only describe as blood. We tried to contact reception to arrange a refund as we needed to leave. However nobody answered I called who we booked with and they said they had spoke to them. I have called them every day for three weeks for them to ignore my calls over half the time, and the other half feed me lies, I’ve been told I’m getting a refund however this has not happened yet two weeks after being promised. They told myself I would be getting a refund but when I booked with contacted them they said they wouldn’t be. I don’t often reviews but felt I needed to for this accommodation at four months pregnant. It caused me nothing but stress and put me in an awfully uncomfortable situation and still to this day causing nothing, but and I have had to take the matter further.

Really professional friendly helpful staff, nice rooms ideal location and great hotel.

Checked into this hotel yesterday, I mean the hotel doesn’t even look like it’s completed work! The rooms are exactly the same design as premier inn. Air con wouldn’t work in my room. I was literally suffocating in the room as windows don’t open, and air con was faulty! I then called the receptionist who was extremely rude, asking me why I came there then! I mean you say crap like that to guests!
