New Orleans RV Resort & Marina

The size of the condo is very nice with plenty of room, but the age of the units are showing. With visible marks on the walls and exposed piping in the rooms. The front door was warped from moisture and didnt seal super well. Water pressure in the showers and kitchen sink was poor but the bathroom sinks had high pressure. The beds are a bit too soft and can be problematic for people with back problems. While the bedding and comforters themselves were nice. Overall its an ok place to stay for families foe the price but needs a bit of clean up and work to be great. The resort property overall though is very nice and so are the staff.

Great comfortable and quiet place for rest and relaxation. Loved meeting the other travelers around the property. Very cool community.

This place was ok. Was it the Ritz? No. Was it clean and the people friendly? Yes! The beds are VERY soft. Super-duper soft…. so if a firm mattress is important to a good nights sleep, look elsewhere. The on site restaurant was tasty and the server cordial.

First of all people need to know the location is in what I would call an industrial wasteland, sketchy would be another word. Across the canal is a ship rebuilding yard,and one night there was an alarm on a ship going off all night long. There are no windows that look out over the water, the only view is of the adjacent unit. The pictures used are very deceiving. Our unit had very spongy floors, probably due to hurricane damage. This did not inspire confidence in walking around. The hot water temperature was so low, and the shower head so high, it was basically cold by the time it touched your body. I am not exaggerating. Fortunately it was also a hand held unit, so that is what we did. Do not expect to have a hot shower, it will be warm at best. Ladies be aware there is no hair dryer, nor can you borrow one from the front desk. That was a deal breaker for my wife, as it would be for many others. We had to turn off the heating/AC unit every night, as it was WAY to loud to even try to sleep. The one positive note is the bar/restaurant on site. It was totally adequate for our needs, and we ate and drank there twice.

An hour from checking in we received a call that there was a glitch in the sysyem and they didnt have a room. We had to book something that was double the price and was basically crappy, due to last minute booking. Thankfully Hotels.com was great and they reimbursed us the difference. This hotel just said sorry we dont have a room, good bye.

I absolutely loved my stay here. I booked a week and was sick with the flu but I felt very comfortable here. It is in a good location and as a single woman, i felt extremely safe here. Definitely would go back.

What a wonderfully quiet stay. I absolutely loved the tiny home.

Overall was a fun experience yet the service from front desk was sour. Our floating villa wasn’t cleaned properly. Had only one towel for a family of 5, even we asked for more it was met with hassle and no towels were delivered. No hygiene amenities to keep dishes or benches clean in the kitchen. No friendly welcome to the property or given a guide of what to see and do. The area surrounding the property is very unsafe even though they have security patrolling the property. Area needs repairing and trash wasn’t collected whilst we stayed there. Just piled up. The recreation areas and restaurant had great food and service, pity the reception was so sour with guests.
