Torquay Heights Modern Apartments

Very modern and clean

Our apartment was on the top floor. We have walking difficulties but would request lower level the next visit.

Spacious, excellent location, up to date furnishings, regular communication to / from owner, felt secure and safe, fans in room to stay cool and love the pull out sofa bed so you could really unwind and relax watching telly. Everything you need to self cater is provided for such as kettle, toasted, cups, glasses, crockery, pans etc. The price point was excellent and going self catering made everything more affordable with the crazy cost of living these days.

No instruction manual for hob (searched everywhere) but a quick Google search and it was sorted. No access to netflix as the account did not appear but we had our own Prime log in so not a fuss really. Think too many people log into their own accounts and then it's only their user names on the screen. Blinds in the kitchen window broken so do not go up, can only open the slots for light/darkness. For me, none of these are deal breakers but does needs attention for other guests.

Enjoyed our stay

Good open area for socialising, including dining. Plenty of crockery, kitchen was decent. Lovely courtyard. Beds were comfy, decent bedding. Great location for what we needed. Very quiet flat and no noise heard from other guests. Flat is decently decorated and does come across quite fancy. It was handy for what we needed for the few days we were here. Communication with Lenka (the host) was easy before the trip and during.

Felt that some of the space had been underutilised, such as a large hall and large outdoor space. It's a shame that the master bedroom didn't have an ensuite yet the kids/bunk bed room does (although we knew this before we went) There are a few things that we felt brought the property down a bit - kick board under the oven wasn't fitted properly, there were holes behind both bedroom doors where someone had swung the door handles into walls, there was rubbish under the sofas from a previous guest, the carpet in patches was quite dirty and the electric shower in the ensuite didn't work (was communicated to the host but not recified..if we were there longer would have liked it fixed)

The location was great. And the photos matched the property. The host was incredible. Really helpful. Let us have late check out late and check in early.

Not enough toilet paper, no kitchen roll. But thats minor. There was bits on the floor the hoover didnt look like it had been done. The sofa turns into a bed and there was a lot of dirt that dropped out and underneath the sofa.

The location is spot on and the apartment has everything we needed. It was clean and was very cozy. It felt like a home away from home.

The only thing we had difficulty with was the wi-fi. There was no wi-fi signal in the bedroom.
