Etéreo, Auberge Collection

Just returned from a stay at Etéreo and can't recommend it enough. From the moment you arrive, the experience is both luxurious and grounding. The property is stunning — seamlessly blending modern design with the surrounding jungle and coastline. Every detail feels intentional, from the architecture to the scents in the air. The service is what truly sets Etéreo apart. Every member of the staff was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming without ever feeling overbearing. They remembered our names, preferences, and always made us feel taken care of.

Etereo was a dream come true! It was our first big trip as a family of 3 with our 5-month old daughter and the team at Etereo could not have been more accommodating. From the moment we booked we were in touch with the team to help plan our meals, items for baby we would need in the room, and transportation. The airport transfer was seamless and easy, and check in was very personal with a tour of the property and the room. Everything was ready for us upon arrival and the crib, bottle washer, sterilizer, and even a diaper pail we forgot to ask for. They also helped arrange for additional items for baby that we rented to be brought to the room. The property is secluded and beautiful, easy to navigate and felt expansive yet intimate. Our guia Emmanuel was always available for whatever we needed, whenever we needed it. The food was incredible - at every restaurant and the pool, I never got tired of the fresh options and everything was just so good. Charlie and Daniel at the pool were incredible! Always ready and willing to get whatever we needed and arrange shade for us to bring the baby out. Service at every restaurant was also impeccable - special thanks to Oscar Sosa! He was so sweet with our baby and even would push her stroller around so we could finish our food when she was getting fussy. Everyone knew our name and her name. The experience was worth every penny and we cannot wait to return again.

The property and the staff are a dream. Picturesque hotel and beach. Food was amazing. The hotel offers plenty of opportunities to things onsite and off, but it’s a place to just relax and enjoy life. I would happily return to Etereo!

This is the most special resorts I have ever visited. The design blended perfectly with the surrounding environment and added to its beauty. The rooms were incredibly spacious and comfortable. Beautiful rain head shower and the softest sheets on the bed. The outdoor patio was perfect for a late afternoon nap and shaded from the sun. The plunge pool was private and a cool, comfortable temperature. The amenities were also special - steam iron, beach bag, mineral free sunscreen, bug screen, bug bite cream and after sun lotion. They really thought of everything! There were zero mosquitoes and I got no bites (usually I’m a favorite). The pool was perfection. It was the perfect temperature and such a fun and calm place to hang out. The lounge chairs were so comfortable and could easily be fully shaded if you want. Pool service was excellent and the food and drinks were delicious. They also bring around little snacks (mini-tostadas or popsicles) and non-alcoholic “shots” with local juices and fruits, which is a very nice touch. The beach was also lovely. The chairs were completely shaded and a great place to take a nap. The sand was incredibly soft and the sandbar extends out so far - you can wade in up to your knees in very calm water. The restaurant was delicious - we had both breakfast and dinner there. The menu had lots of options for many different dietary needs and everything was cooked perfectly and so flavorful. The cocktails were excellent - I highly recommend the Kakow (a chocolate Negroni). The spa is not to be missed. I wish I had booked more treatments there and would have gladly spent an entire blissful day there. We did some steams and plunges, ending with a rejuvenating cold plunge outside. Our guía (guide) at the hotel was available by texting whenever we needed anything and helped arrange for a boating excursion on a catamaran (also HIGHLY recommend) and coordinated a late checkout and ride to the airport. The boutique was so cute and had such fun and colorful pieces. They also have a coffee “cart” in the morning when you just need a coffee to go. The gym was spacious and airy and very well organized and stocked. Everyone was incredibly friendly and accommodating. I cannot recommend this place enough. I cannot wait to go back!

There is a reason we came back a third time and are already planning our 4th visit for next year. This time we brought another couple that will also be coming back with us. Etereo is a top notch experience that exceeds expectations on all levels. All staff genuinely care about the guests’ experiences and work incredibly hard to make us feel special and taken care of. The design inside and out is absolutely beautiful and also functional. The views from the ocean view rooms are spectacular. The staff at the pool are so wonderful to move the umbrellas throughout the day to keep us in the shade. The restaurants and bars are so fabulous there is no need to leave the resort. The amenities are top notch and incredible quality. We love learning about the Mayan culture and appreciate the Shaman welcome ceremony and the refreshing juice drink upon arrival. The beds are heavenly, we slept deeply and soundly each night. Housekeeping is fantastic, the rooms are impeccably clean. Of all the places we have stayed, this is by far our favorite! It’s truly a magical experience and we will continue to return each year!

The location of the resort was amazing. The white beach and staff are top notch. It is a wonderful tropical retreat to relax or be active. We had a great time pool side, and they help keep you hydrated by bringing you bottled water. The food and cocktails were enjoyable. We would go again.

Top Tier experience across the board, and what you would expect from an Auberge Resort. Highly recommend and will definitely return. Everything from the service, food, experience, and amenities were the quality you expect with a resort of this level.

If you’re visiting from the next door St Regis or Edition hotels, don’t go there. They’ll treat you very bad. Went to hotel to have lunch and visit hotel. Was met by a guard at the beach and told that no visitors allowed. Sat down for a minute while looking for another restaurant on the phone and was told that was not allowed to sit down. That it’s private property. Very disappointing. Definitely not a friendly hotel with other visitors.

We had an exceptional experience at Etereo. It was our first vacation as a couple since having kids. We wanted a luxurious experience and Etereo met all expectations. The resort was luxurious, peaceful, and intimate. We really enjoyed it. It's also very family-friendly and we hope to return one day with the family. The food and spa were standouts. Itzam is truly special and we wish we ate there every night! The pre-spa ritual is unique and worth getting to the spa early to enjoy. Our guia, Richie, was professional and attentive. He really made our experience seamless and made us feel welcome. I cannot say enough great things about Etereo. It's a very special place.
