Etéreo, Auberge Collection

Etéreo is one of my favorite places to stay. It offers a tranquil, relaxing environment that one should find in a high end resort. A lot of places greet you with loud music and a bustling lobby. Here you are greeted by the sounds of nature and the most kind staff. The rooms are gorgeous. The spa is the best I've ever been to. The food is delicious. And don't sleep on the excursions they offer! We had one led by an archaeologist, Dante, and it was an experience of a lifetime. You could spend days here on end and be very happy. My soul feels at home here. I can't wait to go back.

As you step onto the grounds, you're greeted by gentle flute music and the scent of copal incense wafting through the air. The architecture blends ancient Mayan design with modern eco-luxury — stone pathways, thatched palapas, and intricate glyph carvings create an atmosphere of sacred serenity. You wake to the gentle ocean waves and the soft calls of birds. Calm and peace, no rush to do anything.

Exceeded expectations and was exactly what we needed for an easy and relaxing vacation. Every person working was super friendly, knowledgeable, and caring. We genuinely felt cared for and top of mind by everyone. They made it easy with texting staff for what we need and could really just disconnect.

From the moment I was contacted by the team at Etereo prior to arrival, I knew the experience was going to be one of a kind. Their team and our Gia, Ommar, were nothing short of amazing. We created lasting memories and it truly felt like the best place ever to get engaged! Every aspect of the service was personalized with high attention to detail. We have been fortunate to stay at a few different Auberge properties and this place crushed it! We will be back!!

Great time. Beautiful resort. Oscar Sosa and Danny Bueno were excellent. Danny at the beach and Oscar at the restaurant by the pool was gracious and provided excellent services. We enjoyed yoga and a trx class and unfortunately I cannot remember the gentleman’s name but he was fantastic (trained in India for yoga)

Our stay here was nothing short of incredible. The rooms are incredibly beautiful, comfortable and equipped. The staff is attentive, friendly and kind. The food is fresh and amazing. The spa was clean and lovely! I couldn't speak the praises of this resort enough.

We visited for a short trip in May and I really can't think of how our experience at Etereo could have been better. The grounds are absolutely stunning - it's truly an oasis in the middle of a mangrove forest. Our room was spacious, refined, and comfortable. Every staff member was kind and prompt in meeting our every request. We never felt like we were competing for space or service at the pool (which is the norm at pretty much every other resort we've been to.) The spa was top notch, and we had a great time doing the cold clay experience with the resident artist. Both Itzam and Che Che were great, and we took the opportunity to pop over to Toro at the St. Regis for dinner one night, which I'd also recommend. We'll definitely be back.

We loved Etéreo from the moment we arrived! This is a very special place with an amazing energy of the Mayan culture and friendly staff. The Mayan touches with the outside altar and nightly turn down was very unique. The spa is beautiful and well designed with the cleansing ritual of amber smudge, eucalyptus steam room, sauna, silky clay exfoliation, indoor cenote, and sound healing. Loved the local catch of the day and had excellent service with Gilberto at Che Che who taught us some Mayan phrases. We were well cared for by Emmanuel and the Guía team and spent several amazing days on the beach where Cesar took great care of us. We'll definitely be back!

Loved being in nature and loved the sound of birds everyday, beach was gorgeous, sunrise yoga everyday, spa was amazing , staff very friendly and accommodating, loved every minute

We absolutely loved our stay at Etéreo. The service was impeccable, and the staff couldn’t have been more warm, welcoming, and helpful. As a vegetarian, I really appreciated how accommodating the restaurants were - happily modifying dishes to suit my dietary needs.
