Hearthside Inn

What a wonderful inn! We had such a good time here and were treated like royalty! The room was so cute with lots of natural light (room 4). We were basically in downtown Bar Harbor without it sounding like we were, since the inn is located on a side street. Cute, quiet, and great vibes at the property and from the staff! Catherine and Juliana were great, and Maygan made the best breakfast! We are going to have to come back and stay for longer the next time. One night was not enough! Well worth the trip if you’re debating on whether driving up to BH is worth it.

Everyone was very welcoming, the food was amazing (two of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had) and there was lots of information on things to do in the local area!

Clean, comfortable rooms in a well-maintained older home. There is no elevator, but our third floor room was quiet, with a comfortable bed and efficient AC. Not all the rooms have ensuite bathrooms, so double check that before booking if it’s important to you. The included breakfast is indulgent and generous. We found that one meal was enough for two of us to split. Coffee, tea, cocoa, and water are always available, and snacks are set out each afternoon. Everyone on the staff is helpful, friendly, and welcoming. Very convenient to downtown.

Everything about Hearthside Inn was exceptional. The breakfast, afternoon tea, accommodations, and location were all excellent, and best of all was the amazing staff.

Great, friendly staff, helpful with tips and recommendations. Excellent breakfast and very close to shops and restaurants/bars.

Excellent place to stay! Our room was clean, quiet, and peaceful. There were a few other guest when we were there, but we hardly noticed them. Breakfast was amazing, and featured local blueberries!

What did I like about Hearthside Inn? A shorter question to answer would be what didn't I like? EVERYTHING about this place: communication prior to check, Location, friendly/helpful staff, room (including bedding, TV, internet) and don't even ask me about the breakfast...was AMAZING. There was a small outdoor area and a main floor shared space with comfy sofa and fireplace. All guest rooms are on second or third floor and there is no elevator. The breakfast in the morning was customized to each guests liking by the chef on staff and there were always homemade cookies in lobby. I only wish I lived closer so we could stay at Hearthside Inn more often when visiting Bar Harbor.

- La publicidad es engañosa: no aclara que es un bed & breakfast, ni que el mismo se sirve a partir de las 8 a.m., con poca variedad y tarde si uno debe partir temprano. - El baño de la habitación que nos asignaron estaba fuera de la misma, a tres puertas de ella y pasando por delante de la escalera de acceso desde el lobby. Muy inconveniente con temperaturas bajas, especialmente durante la noche y en nuestro caso siendo personas mayores. - Habitación con mucha decoración, pero poco práctica. Imposible oscurecerla: a las 5 a.m. toda la luz del día te impedía dormir.
