Loved our stay

A nice well located to town and ocean!

Not a luxury property, the apartment/room is well kitted out and great for families. Within 10 min walking distance to center of Holbox, second row from sea (not water front). Safe was not working, one door handle broken (none of these were surprises for management, so long standing issues), an unwelcoming smell of sewage was welcoming us in the lobby at different times but every day of our stay.

Very nice place to stay. Room was exactly as pictured and comfortable, outdoor seating was bigger than expected. Staff was helpful and friendly. Convenient set up. Breakfast included was a nice perk! And it's a quick walk to the Holbox Refugio to get your dog-fix and walk dogs while on vacation! Would definitely stay here again!

Casa Astral fue la mejor opcion que pudimos hacer para nuestra estancia en Holbox. Su personal fue muy amable, atento, pedimos la oportunidad de hacer check in un poco mas temprano y tuvieron la amabilidad de revisar. Tambien, fui a celebrar mi cumpleaños, y al saberlo, hicieron aun mas especial mi estancia, cuidaron cada detalle desde la atencion previa a mi llegada, hasta el ultimo minuto de mi salida. Casa Astral es uno de esos lugares que realmente te da tristeza que tus vacaciones hayan terminado. Definitivamente es el unico lugar al que quiero regresar en mi proxima visita a Holbox.

I think I had higher expectations being this a VIP Access hotel, but I found it just average. On the positive side, the staff was kind and the room was comfortable. On the other hand, the breakfast is very basic, the terrace, even if it has a nice view, didn’t even have cushions for the stone “seats” and my husband found the pool dirty. Also, we arrived in Holbox a few days after a hurricane pass, which is not the hotel’s fault of course, but I would have appreciated a warning from them saying that there was a risk of not being able to reach the hotel by “taxi” due to the road conditions which would have helped me prepare for it at least on bringing light backpacks.
