Hotel bonito mas com um pequeno almoço péssimo

A 10/10 experience for us. The rooftop pool & bar is very cool with ocean view. I highly recomend getting a Michelada with Maracuja from Enrqiue, who is a super service oriented guy who will make sure your experience is a 10/10. Also the beach in front of the hotel is nice because it‘s not very crowded.

Good overall

Our stay at Casa Astral was really amazing. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We rented the apartment with 2 bedrooms and it was the perfect setup for me and my two daughters. The views from the rooftop were breathtaking and the property is well maintained and very clean. The pool is on the roof and there is a beautiful outdoor patio to lounge in. The only downside is that although it’s literally a 2 minute walk, it’s not directly on the beach as I believed so there are no lounge chairs or even a piece of beach to hang out at which meant we had to walk 20 minutes and pay for chairs at other hotels which was quite expensive (between 25 USD and 100 USD per person per day). That area of the island also had a lot of seaweed and the beaches weren’t swept or taken care of. The seaweed smells absolutely horrible to a point where we couldn’t stay there so ended up walking to the other side of Holbox beach toward Punta Moskito where this was not a problem. The restaurant is only open until 2 pm and offers a very limited menu which also meant going out for every meal which is fine, but strange considering every other hotel has a cafe or restaurant. That said, If you’re looking for a quiet, peaceful and beautiful setting, and don’t mind walking or taking a “taxi” to and from the beach everyday, I definitely recommend Casa Astral.
