Barceló Lanzarote Royal Level

Disappointing stay having returned to this place following a great visit 2years ago. Whether Management has changed not sure but Royal level is lacking. Poor entertainment, mediocre meals, poor upkeep/maintenance around areas. Dirty floors, cups ,vessels left laying around. Certainly won’t be going back again. Honest review- need to invest in staff & general areas.

Great hotel, great staff, great food!! Beach not easily accessible but enough beds by the (5) pools. Loved it!!

Had a great week at this hotel, this time Royal Level and upgraded room which was amazing with a great view. Hotel is fantastic, always clean and kept well. Food and drinks well catered for too. Would definitely recommend and it's our second visit.

A great stay, good food and improved entertainment. Not enough umbrellas and loungers by the pool. The staff and fantastic, don’t miss the white party.

Family trip, hotel offers many amenities, always something to do, great fitness center, olimpic pool. Yoga, cycling inside pool, water polo, all sorts. Animation team at night was amazing, guys really did keep kids entertained. The island also offers great touristy attractions to see..

Royal level restaurant was full of screaming kids running around for both breakfast and dinner. Food choice for buffet dinner was poor with cheap cuts and chicken that looked very overheated and tired,

Had a great time here. Staff were fab, Hannah and Eva in particular were lovely! Food was very good and tonnes of choice (we were all inclusive). Very nice and secluded beach nearby that takes a little bravery to swim but worth it. The royal level felt much more intimate and way less kids than the main facilities.

We booked the royal as had read reviews that the pools were really cold and we were taking our 9 month old so we wanted to have the heated pool. I’m glad we did as the other pools were freezing. The pool in the royal is two levels but 1.5m all around which was a little deep for me as a 5ft 4 mum. The other benefits of the royal was access to a different restaurant which we personally thought was nicer food and feel to it than the other restaurant. There was also some entertainment around the pool on some days such as acrobats and a sax and violinist beach party vibes which were really good! If you wanted to do waterpolo or aqua gym they were in the pool just above. One side of the pool was freezing but the other wasn’t too bad. This is a pool for all guests on this side of the hotel. The evening entertainment schedule looked ok but it started at 21:45 which was too late for us with a baby but there were children’s party dancer 20:15-21:00. Tip: it’s windy in Lanzarote so bring clips for your towels on your sun loungers The umbrellas at the pool are rubbish. I’m mainly writing this so hopefully the hotel see this. There are so many broken ones around the Royal pool and they aren’t sturdy enough as when the wind comes along it can send the umbrellas flying! We witness 3 fly off in the 5 days we were there. I’m also not sure they actually block you from the sun as I could still get sun and shadows while under the umbrella so that wasn’t good when you’re trying to keep you and your baby out of the hot sun. I would give this hotel a 3.5/5 as the hotel was really pretty and we liked our room (we went for the suite) and the drinks selection was great but I would say the quality of food for dinner was just ok but breakfast was really good. Can’t go wrong with an omelette/egg station. The service could have been more attentive and our welcome check in wasn’t very informative and we waited an hour for our room to be ready. The evening entertainment was a little late for us with a baby but probably perfect time for those without children the entertainment that we did see was really good. . The pools that weren’t part of the royal are so cold and the umbrellas were naff. I’d recommend it but a few tweaks would be needed to get 5 stars.

Très bel hôtel avec une belle chambre royal vue sur mer. Spacieuse. Les repas étaient très biens de qualité. J’ai apprécié les espaces Royal. Un seul point négatif : le bruit pendant la soirée et nuit

Everything we wanted. Beautiful pool. Great drinks. Lovely food The white patty was great fun. Hannah our host was amazing!
