Barceló Lanzarote Royal Level

Huge complex about 30-50 minute walk into town. Room was clean, spacious and comfortable but there was a foul sewage type smell in bathroom. Food was good and staff generally friendly. Noise from pool disco was intrusive. Reception staff were not interested. Said it's an active resort so all rooms are like that. Pity

The resort is beautiful, rooms clean, staff are nice and helpful, plenty of food and drink, good choice of food. Bit of a walk into Costa teguise but that would be the only minor negative for us. Will definitely come back.

Ok for a weekend, wouldn’t return we have been to so many nicer resorts In Europe. Better than expected after recent reviews but can’t relate to those who keep returning there are so many nicer places. Queuing and watching people run for sunbeds is not our idea of a relaxing holiday. The walls are paper thin can hear our neighbours opening and closing drawers, talking etc. on a positive the staff are nice some of the food was lovely but evening meal wasn’t great. The royal pool looked very murky today. A real issue with umbrellas. Just get some more !!

We have had the most wonderful 8 days here the staff have been so friendly and the entire resort is so clean Youssef and Dylan were great in Asana restaurant .. at Royal reception Beatriz sorted out our room super quick .. we will be back !! The pools were absolutely beautiful and it was just to hard to say goodbye to them!!!!!!!

Having stayed here as a couple in March we returned as a family of 5 (3 teenage boys) in August. As usual hotel was fab. Rooms - as we’ve stayed a few times we got a suite and there’s loads of room, very clean, well stocked mini fridge and air-con worked so well it was too cold at times and we turned it down. Food - we ate in Asana at lunch and dinner. Food is top class with steak/chicken/various fish cooked to order each night. Plenty of pizza and chicken at lunch to keep the lads happy and homemade burgers one day which went down well. Breakfast is hard to fault - if you can’t be happy with the variety they offer there is something wrong. Eggs Benedict with crispy bacon my personal favourite! Big shout out to Dillon and Youseff (hopefully that is spelt correctly) for looking after us so well. Tables cleared quickly and plenty of drink top ups! Pool - very clean and we got some really great spots. Pool bar staff really great and attentive. Only downside if I’m honest is the general access toilets outside both restaurants could do with more regular cleaning although they are used a lot. Otherwise the sensor lights above the pool tables could do with getting sorted as the boys complained of missing balls as the lights kept going off (although there was plenty of daylight and I always won)! We will definitely be back and the extra money for royal level is worth it given the excellent food and drink selection.

Third time at the royal level and possibly the best yet. They have made a number of improvements since we were last here including more evening entertainment in the royal lounge and the main reception which was a very welcome addition. Food and drinks overall were once again absolutely fantastic. We would also like to take the time to recognise a number of colleagues at the royal level who made our stay so memorable with fantastic service, Pavel and Dylan in the Asana restaurant, both guys provided the most wonderful service and made us feel like very special guests. Also Adela, Alec and Javier in the royal lounge and bar once again provided us with the most fabulous service. A huge thank you. We will 100% be back xx

Great place for a holiday. Food was very nice and lots of choice in Royal level and service was great by Dylan. Would defo come back

Disappointing stay so far. We stayed in the royal level in Tenerife and thought we would try another resort. Big mistake. It is not exclusive and really should not be called Royal - don’t stay here if you want royal level treatment. The corridors in the Royal Level look like a 2 star hotel and need a huge refresh of paint. Not a great first impression. The royal level pool is a disgrace - no where near enough umbrellas and it’s sad to see other guests complaining in June and we are now August. Also not enough sun beds - have to queue at 08:30 to get them saved. Royal level buffet in the evenings - same every night - no real difference. In Tenerife they offered a la carte options which felt exclusive - not at this resort - it’s the same as everyone else. For more than 7 nights you get a voucher to eat in the Italian or Asian restaurant- great! However you have to pay for alcohol. This is out of order when you have an all inclusive royal level package. Tenerife it was included. Deluxe junior suite sea view 2309 has no sea view - an industry plant was our view. Room not cleaned properly every day. Don’t stay here for Royal Level treatment. Tui and Jet2 need to update their ratings as it’s Not Royal Level treatment!

Returned to royal level expecting a great experience like before but sadly standards have dropped significantly. Air conditioning was very weak with little or no strength coming from it raised it with reception multiple times, was given a fan but did not help/ excuse was it was in the middle of a heat wave! Well Lanzarote is hot in August and a hotel that offers royal level experience charging royal prices need to up their game! Cleanliness has drastically changed , communal areas are dirty, pool areas are not well maintained and there is a lacking of umbrellas at the royal level pool for the number of guests! Ate in the main buffet once never gain the place was filthy, not enough staff, plates weren’t cleared, tables not set! Very very poor service and standards which is a huge shame as we have consistently enjoyed coming back here! A recommendation would be that there should be a royal level curtsy room for guests to shower before they leave especially if on a night flight but no you need to shower in the toilet! Definitely not a 4 star hotel more like a medium 3 star!!

Yet another great family holiday at Barcelo Lanzarote Royal Level! Service and food was great, couldn’t fault it! My only comment would be that it needs more umbrella’s around the Royal Level pool and needs more space for sunbeds as there aren’t enough sunbeds for the amount of Royal Level customers! But overall, would highly recommend!!
