Dreams Cozumel Cape Resort & Spa

Nos encanto la playa y las vistas del hotel. Almorzar cada manana con vista al mar fue muy padre. Kristel y Yajaira del buffet fueron muy amables, siempre recbiendonos con una sonrisa y Kristel muy atenta se acordaba de nuestro apellido. Gloria es muy atenta y hace muy ricos omelets y pancakes. Tienen un excelente servicio al cliente, cuando les agradeces te contestan "es un placer". El Sr Irham muy atento, respetuoso y platicador nos ayudaba a tomar algunas actividades. Wendy la chica de los drinks nos cayo super, es muy amable y trabajadora. Ademas Luz, de entretenimiento se ve que ama su trabajo y sabe tratar a las personas. La habitacion super comoda, amplia y la cama muy confortable. Sin duda regresariamos a este hotel. El unico inconvenciente esta en el check in. Las personas que te atienden podrian ser mas amables y asignarte el cuarto a tiempo. Aunque llegamos temprano al hotel y fuimos varias veces a la recepcion se tardaron mucho en entregarnos el cuarto(y no eramos los unicos) . Finalemente nos entregaron la habitacion despues de las 3:30 pm. Creo que podrian mejorar en eso.

La stanza con vista oceano era grande. Lo staff molto gentile e sorridente. La spiaggia bella. Molto bello il tramonto

La camera della prima sera era davvero troppo umida, abbiamo dovuto richiedere un cambio. La seconda che ci hanno dato era molto meglio, bisogna lasciare l’aria condizionata molto alta e fredda, altrimenti si bagna tutto. Il cibo dei ristoranti non era di buona qualità, era ok… ma niente di che. Un po’ caro per quello che offrono. La struttura avrebbe grandi qualità se fosse organizzata e gestita meglio.

La comida está bien, pero le falta variedad a los snacks.

Amazing location! Right in front of one of the most beautiful beaches in Cozumel (a bit rocky if that may upset you) with a small reef that will satisfy your snorkeling needs right away. It's also 20 min away from the ferry dock and near other beach clubs if needed. Checkin was extremely fast and the front desk staff was kind and gracious and at the beach Hiram (I think that's his name) was really kind. Also kudos to the pool bartender (Cristian). He was patient with other guests that were clearly drunk while also being professional and helpful with us. His signature drink was amazing!

Food overall was a miss. The buffet is simply disgusting with flies all over the place. Also in our first morning there a waiter came and told me I had to register before sitting down which was my mistake (I was clearly still sleepy) but his tone and manners were so off that even my husband heard him from the other side of the room. The buffet food itself was ok. Totopos were extremely old. The omelette station was the best. We only tried the italian restaurant for dinner and it was good enough but the waiter made a mistake in our order and then it took forever to get my child's food. As for the beach and pool... the pool is extremely tiny for the amount of guests. We were told we could use the Secrets facilities but that one is adults-only so that wasn't a possibility for us. Also since the pool is so tiny you don't get to separate the adults (most of them pretty drunk) from the kids so it's just an accident waiting to happen. My little one got smacked in the face by a ball thrown by a very drunk man who was decent enough to apologize over and over but it was something that was just meant to happen. Also some adults do not keep an eye on their kids and it's just a mess. Also there are close to none sun chairs available at any time just because some guests wake up at like 4am to throw stuff in them to "set aside" them. So forget about getting one of the like 10 available ones in front of the beach unless you are ready to play the game of: who gets here first, throws something in the chair and then forgets about it for 20 days straight. Room was clean, spacious and had a great view. Our minibar was always stocked and the bed was comfty. A group of friends we travelled with got a room with the tiniest tv ever (it was almost comical) that never turned on and also their AC made the craziest sounds but our room was excellent. So a bright spot in an overall mediocre stay.

We will not return. We went last year and had such a good time my husband and I went back again this year. We will not return. Hyatt took over this property a couple of years ago and are making changes in all the wrong ways. The food quality went from excellent to mediocre at best. We were woken up each morning at 8:30 by construction workers using a jack-hammer right outside our door (no exaggeration!). When we complained about the noise we were told we could change rooms if we felt it was necessary, but not until 3:00 or 4:00. There were no other concessions or solutions offered and the manager never contacted us (no surprise there). Our swim-out pool had a ring of green slime on the walls around it. I watched them clean the pool walls every day last year and not once this year. Overall, the property looks run-down. On the positive side, the snorkeling from the beach is excellent.

La ubicación es excelente, con acceso directo a la playa y a solo 20 min del aeropuerto. La playa tiene a pocos metros arrecifes de coral por lo que puedes ver fauna de Cozumel sin salir del hotel.

La calidad de la comida en el buffet principalmente, me parece de nivel medio, creo que podría mejorar el menú sobre todo en comidas y cenas sin un esfuerzo significativamente alto.

Pasamos unos días de descanso tranquilos, justo lo que buscábamos para nuestra baby moon. La habitación amplia y limpia, con balcón con vista a la playa, siempre es espectacular despertar así. El baño de la habitación súper amplio, con buenos amenities. Fueron flexibles con el late check out y el cobro por la permanencia extra no fue excesivo.

La comida fue un poco decepcionante, creo que tienen mucha área de oportunidad en este sentido. En el bufet del desayuno es desagradable ver como se paran moscas en alimentos expuestos (como frutas / panes) y los 3 días siempre eran las mismas opciones. La habitación fue cómoda, pero tres cositas: el AC hacía mucho ruido, la puerta del balcón no cerraba bien, las sábanas olían mucho a humedad. Con respecto a la alberca y playa, siento que ambas zonas son muy pequeñas para la cantidad de habitaciones / huéspedes que tiene el hotel. Para agarrar un lugar en la playa tenías que despertarte súper temprano para apartarlo, cosa que no está cool cuando se supone que vas a descansar sin presiones.
