Isle of Skye Guest house

We only stayed one night. Self check in was easy. The room was clean, comfortable, and well stocked. We hope to visit again. We loved our experience at Isle of Skye

Very difficult getting access codes. Needed phone calls to chase up. Room very small but tidy. Lounge and sunroom extremely tired, old grubby furniture and not welcoming. No tea /coffee facilities in lounge. Lounge TV not working. No onsite manager so cleaner relied on for entry. Place and gardens run down leaving feeling of abandonment. Should not be accepting paying guests in current state and having no staff.

The Guest House was very convenient for a recent visit to the west coast of Scotland. Self-check in was made east by the entry code being emailed on the morning of my stay. The room was clean and tidy and fridge in room was handy. Complimentary breakfast items were convenient if basic. Only downside was the heater was on prior to my arrival, and the window didnt open, meaning it was uncomfotably hot during the stay.

The shower had some mold in it

We recently stayed at this guesthouse and overall, it was a pleasant experience. The self-check-in process was seamless, and we appreciated the thoughtful touches in the room, including snacks, milk, yogurt, instant coffee, and tea for each of us. However, there were a few issues that detracted from the stay. We encountered three spiders and a live moth on the walls, and found a pop tab and some debris on the floor. Additionally, the toilet required a double flush each time due to an old septic system. The walls were also noticeably thinner than at typical hotels, which made it easy to hear the neighbor talking—though they may just talk loudly. While these issues didn't ruin our stay, they did affect the overall comfort.

Having seen very mixed reviews we were concerned but self check in was easy, the room was clean and beds very comfortable and everything worked fine. £20 extra for one small dog was pushing it though, and the buildings themselves are in need of serious upgrade soon. For the price it was a handy one night stopover on the way into Skye as we expected.

The Guest House is super cute. The beds were cosy and we slept really well. We absolutely loved it here.

Good value and easy to find

We stayed here after completing the NC500. It was a staffless check in so key codes provided which was fine, especially when you are tired! Room was well stocked with some breakfast bits and a mini fridge etc.
