A 15 min walk out of town

We have been staying at The Millstone Country Inn for the past few years, using it as a base for walking in the Peak District. We love the atmosphere & character of the place. After a very enjoyable stay last year, we suggested to our walking group (Pontypool Ramblers) that we could use it for a group walking holiday. Dario, Claire and the team made our group very welcome and met all our expectations. The rooms were clean, well presented and most importantly, comfortable. Meals were delicious, well prepared and much needed after a day's walking. Our group were so impressed that they are already asking us to arrange a return trip. A big thank you to Dario & the team who made our stay very enjoyable.

The place was lovely, with a great restaurant downstairs. We also enjoyed hiking in the surrounding area - the hotel provided a map with three routes starting right from the doorstep, along with very detailed directions. We really enjoyed the hike.

Omg what a friendly place, stayed in a camper on there carpark overnight overlooking longshaw estate I think, had a breakfast in the morning in the pub, best breakfast I’ve had in a long time, all the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, and went above and beyond 10/10 from me

We stayed in the pub car park in our campervan and we had a drink and breakfast the next morning. Highly recommend they were very friendly and helpful. Fod was spot on. We had a dog too. 5 star ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
