We loved our stay here! It is truly a beautiful accommodation venue. The rooms are just stunning with magic views across the mountains. The infinity pool is beautiful. Service was fantastic staff really lovely! Breakfast buffet is wonderful also!

We arrived at the hotel a few hours early after an overnight bus ride from Hanoi (check-in was at 2 PM), so we had some time to kill. The lobby was chaotic, and we were surprised to see the staff completely unbothered as a mother fed her child on the pool table. We even opted for a massage to pass the time, but unfortunately, no refreshments were offered while we waited—which would’ve been a thoughtful gesture. While these may seem like small issues, details matter in the service industry. The lobby, in particular, gets extremely crowded—children running around unattended, parents not intervening, and staff doing little to maintain order. The view from the hotel is undeniably magical, but overall, I wouldn’t choose to stay here again. One example that stood out: it was raining, and I asked to borrow a second umbrella (since my wife was using the one provided in our room). Instead of simply helping, the staff had to verify with housekeeping whether the original umbrella was in use—which felt unnecessarily rigid and inconvenient. In the end, I’m giving this place 4 stars, but that’s being generous. The little things added up, and unfortunately, they detracted from what could have been a much better experience.

Such a wonderful resort with amazing views of Sapa. A must stay if you are here. You will not regret it! The breakfast buffet is delicious and the infinity pool is awesome. The staff members Louis and Lilia were fantastic, kind, and helpful. I totally recommend this place.

the hotel is clean and beautiful. just a heads up theres lots of stairs to climb to access some rooms. but they’re very kind and accommodating we requested to be transferred to another room since mom can’t handle too much stairs they came through! but some requests really depends on the hotels availability. all the staff are nice and polite. the rooms are PERFECT! you wouldn’t want to go out of your room because of how beautiful it is! the view is stunning!!! the food’s taste and the selection for the breakfast buffet was sooo good! thank you for the cutest gift you game me and my mom. we definitely enjoyed our stay here!

I liked the pool and food set up and views I did not like the lack of communication about using towels for water only and charging me for a hand towel or not cleaning the mirrors The comforter was damp both times they “cleaned” the room LEO was very personable and helpful great customer service nicest person I met at the resort

One thing I really appreciated during my stay at Cat Cat Hills was how smooth and well-organized everything felt – a big part of that was thanks to Sarah Giang. She handled every request quickly and clearly, from early check-in to helping arrange transport. What stood out was her calm, professional attitude – she never seemed rushed or stressed, even when the lobby was busy. "벌레, 고객대응 심각"

<‘25.6.18.(수) 사파 캣캣힐스리조트(Catcathills Resort) 리뷰> 참을 수 없는 화로 긴 글 씁니자. 베트남에서 2주일째 체류중(사파는 1주일)이고, 이전 숙소들(하노이 Ce** Hotel, 깟바섬 Fl** Hotel, 사파 Am** Hotel 등)에서 엄청 만족하고 지내다가, 사파 내 새로운 호텔을 경험할 겸 해서 사파 캇캇힐스리조트로 왔습니다. 2025.6.17.(화) 저녁 8시쯤 아고다로 3박 예약을 하고 바로 체크인했습니다. 숙소에 들어가자마자 벌레부터 시작해서 아래 기술할 여러 문제로 너무 불쾌했고, 매니저 등에게 계속 항의했음에도 문제해결이 안 되어, 환불이 되지 않음에도 그냥 담날 아침되자마자 나왔습니다. 밤 내내 잠을 못자서 남은 2박 돈이 문제가 아니라 생각됐거든요. 말단 직원들은 친절해서 웬만하면 그냥 리뷰도 안 쓰고 참으려 했는데 심각한 벌레문제와 경영진들의 고객에 대한 안일한 태도를 한국인들에게 알릴 필요가 있겠다 싶어서 남깁니다. 1. 벌레문제 들어오자마자 벌레가 너무 많아서 깜짝 놀랐습니다. 한시간 동안 최소 10마리 이상 잡은 검정색 산모기뿐만 아니라 파리, 노린재(?) 등 정체불명 곤충까지 잔뜩합니다. 잡아도 잡아도 계속 나오더라구요. 아예 문이나 창문을 연적도 없는데, 창문, 벽, 문에 구멍이 있는듯 합니다. 호텔에서는 벌레 잡아주려고 왔는데, 이건 아니다 싶어서 얘기해서 다운그레이드하고 방을 바꿨습니다. 새로운 방에선 아로마향을 틀어줬는데 효과 없고 오히려 벌레에 지독한 아로마 향까지 더해져서 머리가 지끈거리고 밤 내내 잘 수가 없었습니다. 게다가 에프킬라 달라해서 계속 새벽에 뿌렸는데도 끊임이 없어요. 2. 청결문제 침대보에서 이전 투숙객냄새, 수건에서 잘 말리지 않아서 나는 쉰내, 냉장고에 있는 누가 먹다남은 물병, 지저분하고 얼룩진 벽, 더러운 샤워호스, 잘 내려가지 않는 변기, 거미줄과 지저분한 것에 더해 벌레 사체가 잔뜩한 화장실 등등 그냥 참고 넘기기엔 너무 문제가 차고 즐비하네요. 사진 모두 첨부합니다. 외국숙소인 것을 감안하더라도, 이게 과연 4성급 호텔이 맞는가 싶네요. 우리나라 민박도 안 이렇습니다. 3. 고객대응문제 사실 가장 큰 문제입니다. 위의 문제들을 숙소 들어가자마자부터 수차례 항의했으나 개선이 전혀 안 되고, 앵무새처럼 지속되는 답변은 호텔 정책 상 환불은 불가하다는 말뿐이었습니다. 잠을 자지도 않은 2박에 대한 환불이 왜 어려운건지 상세한 답변도 없고, 심지어 본인들도 확인한 문제점때문에 제가 예약한지 1시간도 안 되어서부터 지속적으로 환불 요청을 했는데 말이죠. 게다가 처음에는 아고다 예약 건이라 아고다에서 환불요청하라고 해놓고, 제가 아고다에 벌레사진첨부하고 자초지종 설명해서 아고다측에서 환불 진행하려했는데 갑자기 호텔에서 말을 바꾸고 환불 못하게 막았죠.. 호텔정책 운운하길래, 본인들이 아고다 예약페이지에 애초에 벌레문제 가능성이나 주의사항을 하나도 명시하지 않은 것은 정책에 위배 안 되는 것인지 물었는데 대답을 못하더군요. 일종의 기만에 의한 사기계약인데 말이죠. 기가막힌 것은 제가 더이상 참을 수 없어서 그냥 숙소 나가려는데 설명도 없이 은근슬쩍 ‘책임면제동의서(환불불가정책합의각서)’에 서명하라고 하더라구요. 매니저가 요청한 것도 아니고 리셉션 직원 시켜가지고… 물론 서명 안 했고, 화를 참고 나왔습니다. 각서 사진 첨부합니다. 심지어 각서 내용도 다 틀려요. 방은 뷰도 없어지고 기존 대비 반도 안되는 작은 방으로 다운그레이드 되었는데 업그레이드 해줬다고 써있고, 해결책으로 스파 같은 무료서비스를 제안했다고 하는데 금시초문입니다. 환불불가함에 제가 동의한 적이 없고 오히려 계속해서 요구만 했는데 자기들 유리한 쪽으로만 쓰고 몰래 서명 받으려는 심보가 고약하네요. 이 글 보시는 한국인분들은 행복한 베트남 여행이 저처럼 고난길이 되지 않기를 바라며 긴 글 썼습니다. 아울러 저는 친절한 베트남인들과 아름다운 자연에 대한 좋은 기억은 가져가되, 잘못된 것은 바로잡기 위해 베트남 공정위 등 국가기관에 위 사항들을 신고하려고 합니다. **[Review of Cat Cat Hills Resort – June 18, 2025]** I’m writing this review out of sheer frustration. I’ve been traveling in Vietnam for two weeks (one week in Sapa), and my previous accommodations—Ce** Hotel in Hanoi, Fl** Hotel in Cat Ba, and Am** Hotel in Sapa—were all excellent. Wanting to experience something new, I booked a 3-night stay at Cat Cat Hills Resort through Agoda at around 8 p.m. on June 17, 2025, and checked in immediately. Unfortunately, I was met with an overwhelming number of issues from the moment I entered the room—especially a severe insect infestation. Despite repeated complaints to both front desk staff and the manager, nothing was properly resolved. I ended up checking out the very next morning, because after a sleepless night with my wife, I have no choice but to go out. The junior staff were kind, and I initially didn’t intend to leave a review. However, the serious insect issue and the management’s dismissive and irresponsible attitude toward guest complaints made me feel that Korean travelers, in particular, should be warned. 1. **Insect Infestation** Upon entering the room, I was shocked by the number of bugs. I killed over 10 large black mosquitoes within the first hour, not to mention flies, stink bugs, and various other unidentified insects. The insects kept coming no matter how many I eliminated. I never opened any windows or doors, but they continued to appear—likely due to gaps in the walls, windows, and door frame. A staff member came to help catch the bugs, but I requested a room change. The room I was moved to was a downgrade—significantly smaller and with no view. In this new room, they turned on an overpowering aroma diffuser, which didn’t help and instead gave me a headache. I asked for mosquito spray (like the Korean brand “Aerosol”) and kept spraying throughout the night, but the bugs never stopped. 2. **Cleanliness Issues** The issues didn’t stop at insects. - The bedsheets smelled like a previous guest. - The towels had a sour, unwashed odor. - A half-used water bottle was left in the fridge. - The walls were stained and grimy, the bathroom was full of cobwebs and bug corpses, - The toilet didn’t flush properly, and the shower hose was filthy. Even accounting for the fact that this is a foreign accommodation, I couldn’t believe this place was advertised as a 4-star resort. Honestly, even budget guesthouses in Korea would be cleaner than this. I’ve attached photos. 3. **Customer Service – the Worst Part** This was the most upsetting issue. I filed multiple complaints as soon as I entered the room, but nothing improved. The only repeated response was, “Refunds are not possible due to hotel policy.” No detailed explanation was given as to why a refund couldn’t be granted—even though I didn’t stay the full nights and had been asking for one less than an hour after booking. At first, the staff told me to request a refund through Agoda. I did so, attaching photos and explaining everything. Agoda began processing the refund—only for the hotel to suddenly block it. When I pointed out that the hotel had failed to disclose any possibility of insect issues or warnings on their Agoda listing, they had no answer. They kept citing their “policy”, but is it not a violation of that same policy to hide major issues from customers? This feels like a deceptive, misleading contract. The most outrageous part was when I decided to leave the hotel. As I was checking out, a front desk staff (not a manager) quietly handed me a “Waiver of Liability” form to sign—without explanation. (Photo attached.) I didn’t sign it, but the document was full of false claims: - It falsely stated that I received a room upgrade, when in fact I was downgraded to a much smaller, mountainviewless room. - It claimed the hotel offered complimentary spa services, which I was never informed about. - It implied that I had agreed to the non-refundable policy—which I never did. I actively requested a refund from the moment I arrived. This attempt to quietly obtain a signature on a deceptively written waiver is dishonest and unacceptable. To any foreign traveler reading this: I truly hope your time in Vietnam is filled with joyful memories, not frustration like mine. While I will leave Vietnam with fond memories of its people and nature, I also intend to report this case to the Vietnamese tourists or consumer protection authorities.
