Nice place in the country, great value

It doesn't state that the bathroom will be shared. I read previous reviews and sent several emails before finally receiving a reply to confirm a few days before our arrival. It worked out because our bathroom wasn't used by anyone else. Knowing in advance would be helpful.

Lana was an excellent host; accommodations were pristinely clean, extremely comfortable, perfect for purpose of my trip -- wish I could have stayed longer.

It was quite comfortable, quiet and clean. Nice kitchen with coffee and a few supplies.

I couldn't get the shower to work. It was too late to bother the owner. It was a trickle and turned cold quickly. I told the proprietor after I left.

The house is in a beautiful location, very peaceful and serene. The rooms are nicely appointed and very clean. Lana was very responsive when we complained about the very cold temperature in our room and area. Breakfast foods and coffee and tea were available eventhough Booking.com said there was none provided.

The temperature in our room was down to 62 degrees F even after Lana tried to put the temp up to 71. This was the last week of June. When we opened the windows, it jacked up the AC even more. Lana did provide extra blankets so we could make it through the 2 nights. The "hot water" was barely warm.

The location was convenient to our family event. Room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable.

First time staying at a BNB. We inadvertently walked into the location thinking we were walking into a check-in area or other office setting. Our greeter was upset that we walked in without ringing the doorbell or knocking on the door. She also expressed displeasure with the fact that we estimated our arrival to be btwn 3 and 4 pm, but arrived at 5:45 pm due to DC traffic. This caused her to stay at the property waiting for us during the check-in hours. We apologized for these infractions and all was well a few minutes later. Two suggestions to avoid future issues for host and visitors. Post a sign advising that visitors should ring doorbell for service. Improve Booking.com website check-in instructions to ensure patrons know to call and revise check-in time even if arrival is within the posted check-in window.

Didn't have dedicated bathrooms like it was advertised. Luckily it was in the same area as another guest that I knew. So, us sharing the bathroom wasn't a big deal. The property advertising it as being separate is. Also, I was given the impression that my room can with a tv. It didn't.
