Hotel Xa´an Bacalar

Lovely staff! Clean room! Location is good - less than 10 min walk into centre and 15 min to swimming spot. Would recommend!

Water pressure not great but manageable!

- Very large comfortable bed and spacious room - Staff were very friendly and responsive to messages - They offer laundry service for 100 MXN - Walking distance from the bus terminal, and to the centre, restaurants and lagoon (10-20 mins) - Good price compared to other properties in Bacalar - Air conditioner and big ceiling fan in the rooms - Free breakfast (though it was very minimal, we didn’t even bother having any)

- Bad water pressure. Shower head just sprays water in all directions, should be replaced - The area around the hotel wasn’t the nicest (though still felt safe) - We could hear workers talking every morning around 7-8am which woke us up. Not sure if they were part of the hotel though, if they were it would have been much appreciated if they didn’t speak so loudly and make so much noise that early

bedroom is spacious and clean, the chill area with hammocks and chairs also really nice. Staff are friendly and helpful

water pressure in the shower is quite weak and personally wouldn’t get in the pool, but the place is very good value for money!

The terrace, the pool, the hosts and the association to the Tropic Beach Club.

The shower (poor pressure, heavily calcified), no lights next to the bed, the huge flatscreen (without sny connection) and what happens sometimes in Mexico: some hours without electricity....

Nice place, pretty hotel, comfortable room. The breakfast is a nice, but light which is good in regard to the temperature in the morning already.

Water shower is a bit weak in terms of pressure, but it's usual around here. The door let insects pass, I stumbled on a pretty big one during the night.

New hotel with beautiful little courtyard and terrace, the room was spacious, modern and clean. They also offer access to a sister hotel with an absolutely gorgeous view over the lagoon where you can relax and swim, that was a very pleasant surprise.

If you have bikes you have to maintain them, you can't give out bikes that are potentially dangerous, so please have some tools ready if necessary ;).
